first time i've seen them....

is the switch to cf as much of a weight saver as i hope it is? there seem to be a few cf chassis designs available. has anyone done a comparison of them all?

If the Switchblade ever comes out in something other than electric purple, I'll probably get one for comparison with my Zero chassis, but I haven't heard of any comparisons outside raw weight.

Actually, I got one of the prototype Switchblades just to check it out, and IMO, it's too thin/light. It really is flimsy in a few places due to all the weight savings. I've got 2 Zero chassis, and they can take MUCH more of a beating than the Switchblades.
What I ultimately decided to do was to design and build a custom chassis out of titanium (very small run for myself, a few friends, and the surplus ultimately on ebay). It's a bit heavier than aluminum and CF, but it's being built for durability (high speed, high impact...there will be a crash test performed) and weight balance (I'm working on rollover prevention) as well as having some accomodations specifically for GPM suspension parts
