painting rims?
 
has anyone ever tried painting the plastic rims? how wel does it work?

I used nail polish to paint my rims. It takes about two coats to get them looking good. plus they come out really shiny.
if you have problems with getting the rims smoothly painted with Use a hairdryer to smooth out the paint

you think testors paint for plastic models would look good?

I have painted a bunch of mine...I spray the backs first...let them dry, and then spray probably 4-5 coats on the fronts...I just use the regular enamel spray paint from Lowes...It holds on well. Make sure the wheels aren't oily or anything. I have painted mine white and black...

im gonna use Testors paint. should i go with enamel or acrylic?

u can use enamel in an airbrush, right?

Hell, who knows? I just use the spray can...works good, and easy, too.
