xmod tie rod
i saw a xmod for sale and it said it had stainless steel tie rod.is that for the stearing and if it is does it take out the slop out of the stearing
Sure they don't mean aluminum? I'm not aware of any stainless steel, but the aluminum rods don't take much, if any, play out; the aluminum knuckles do more for that.
he wrote tie rods and said they don't sell them anymore im woundering if somebody made tie rods like the bigger R/C
that would take out all the slop.before i buy the aluminum cups how much does it tighten up.is it worth it
the guy who is selling the car is Dechye he has a RSX for sale on ebay
Aluminum cups don't take out slop but are more durable, which becomes important when you add lithium for power.
i mean the knuckles not the cups
Knuckles take out the steering slop. They are designed to fit right over the stock tie rod so with either stock or alum tie rod, the alum knuckles look like they remove the steering slop.
im going to order the knuckles i just want to know if i have to buy the front arms to. or will the knuckles take out the slop by them selves
You don't need suspension arms to take out slop. The aluminum ones actually have similar play to the plastic ones, as you can't really tighten those screws too much lest you tighten the play in the arm (although washers *can* help a bit there)
