I got a straight bit.

I finally after three cars have a car that goes straight. I kept getting gay cars (ones that don't go straight - cheesy drumroll). The trim control came set to center out of the box on the one I just got. I suspected that if your car comes out the box with trim set to left or right you are going to have problems going straight. This has been my experience with going straight. I don't get why it is so difficult for them to just have it centered at factory.

going straight (ALMOST)

I just got a booster set and it's trim adjustment was one click to the left. It has a very slight pull to the left. It's perfect for my track though. It helps keep the car out of the guard rails down my two longest straights. The booster car I have is the straightest car I got out of my 5.

well my accord wagon from HLJ was straight but after a few minuts of real racing i had to tunr it all the way to....it seems that any hard hits on the zz wall will cause the magent to get loose

Alright, now that I think more about it...It's more LIKELY that the bad steering out-of-the-box isn't necessarily because the assembly line is a gang of chimps, but because of how it was handled during shipping.

I used to work for UPS, once upon a time, and let me tell you that if the steering can get out of whack with just a little fall off the table...Then it's AMAZING anyone gets decent steering AT ALL out of the box!

A small, light box can get thrown around while in transit QUITE EASILY.

Nowadays, when I get new Bits...I EXPECT that I'll have to tune the steering right away.
