noob about to buy! seeking your wisdom
 

woot! I've finally convinced myself to buy an X-mod (or another brand of RC if you guys suggest). Sorry if this is repost or wrong forum.

I'm wondering if you guys know where I can get the cheapest setup? I have an RS coupon that'll get the kit down to $30. Do you guys suggest I get an Iwaver or other brand instead? I'm looking for a semi-cheap hobby that I don't need to go to special tracks for.

Basically, if you could go back to when you bought your first mini-rc what would you do?

I'd buy another XMod for $30, sure. Then I'd use the extra $20 to get the AWD, then I'd spend a little more and get tires and....

Oh darn, I've spent so much money, I can't buy food for the next week!!!

Anyway, you get the idea. It'll only cost ya $30 in the beginning, but these darn things are so addictive, you'll blow your life savings without even knowing what happened.

Amen to that. I have 2 xmods. I've spent $500 bucks plus on them, combined.

i wasnt aware it was possible. why didnt you just buy a Kyosho if you were gonna blow that much? Isnt price the Xmod's selling point?
