www.blindbatts.com has li-ions for $3. My brother and I both have done quite a bit of business with him, and I would definitely recommend you check his site out.

I haven't tried is li-ions personally, but his other products are top-notch. Definitely worth a try.

I don't think those are rechargeable Li-Ions though. That's why they are cheaper.

i know for a fact that they are rechargable. blind is a friend of mine and i know alot about his products. also the cells might seem a little large but they are actualy about the same size as the AAA battery holder.

n2o_matt 12-13-2004 02:11 PM

any pics with them installed on a xmod? The only thing i'm worrying about is the size. Either way - great find!

Now where can we find a good charger for these?

Phred168 12-13-2004 05:42 PM

a normal li-ion charger will work, just it'll take a while because of the good bit of current they hold. You'll have a hell of a long lasting li-ion setup though :) Not to mention that they should fit where the stock batt. holders were.

I checked out the webiste, but didn't find those particular Li-Ions...can you post a link to that product?? Thanks!

n2o_matt 12-13-2004 09:47 PM

they're the only lith-ions under the products/ loose cells section.
here:
loose cells

They look really wierd in the pic but i think the pic is just sized wierd. I'm planing on buying some shortly - but i need to find a charger first.

Where would you put it? Should you separate them?
I bought mine from AtomicMods with the solder tabs on them. They were only $8.95 each. I think they are worth it knowing that they are tested and work! Check out the pic...

n2o_matt 12-14-2004 09:16 AM

i thought they were more like $45 for the two of them. if they are only like $8 i think i'll get those esp. if they have solder tabs on them.

rssjib 12-14-2004 09:31 AM

It is like $45 for the Li-Ion kits, but I soldered the wiring myself. You can buy the Deans connetors for $1.40 per pair at this link:

If you can solder yourself, you can save money.
