Note that the following charts and utility are simply a mathematical comparison (i.e. they don't take into account friction, battery condition, PC board version, track surface, laws of physics, etc...), but you might find the "Motor and Gear Ratio Charts" (there are two of them: one sorted by ground speed, and the other by motor RPM) useful. Also, my "ZipZaps Speed Calculator v3.0" utility my come in handy for ya.

Snag/view 'em at my Zaps Stuff web page, link is in my sig below -:)

I'm not quite sure what you mean (?).

Hmmm... thinking it over, it sounds to me like that you may have clicked on the animated GIF screenshot of my ZipZaps Speed Calculator? If so, the animated GIF on my Zaps Stuff web page is simply a *screenshot* of the utility in action. To actually use the utility, you need to download and unzip the zapspeed.zip file from that web page, and read the included text file that's contained in the ZIP for full useage instructions -:)

SPEED

It all depends on what the size of the area you are racing on.

The purple motor is always the best choice. Just change gears if it is too fast or slow.

ICEMIKE 09-22-2004 01:55 PM

The only thing that the other motors are good for are the pinions,
because the purple motor will always out accelerate the rest.

One more thing. If you are racing on an oval and you are having trouble keeping the car on all four wheels just put a wide tire on the outside rear. Sprint car style. It works.
