Tyco Extreme Mini Cycles
got two of these today and im actually impressed. they are dirtbikes but dont expect any off road action i really wish they actually were street bikes but oh well they are alot of fun on the pavement not real screamers but actually are kinda graceful with the wide turns they make. after driving these for about an hour and a half total i think they're worth the $24.99.
If you fo get one of these make sure you use IC3s or something similar or you may not be able to drive. I have one of the very first ones and they are great. If you have a very smooth dirt field with very minimal rocks and bumps you can drive them. You can drive through water about an inch or two deep before you get problems. I have! Any questions?
ive got a later one with diffrent front forks and a diffrent rear end i run mine srictly on pavement and wood. it actually runs pretty long on alkalines i got about an hour and a half before it was too slow to stay up.
Mine runs about 2 to 3 hours on those Rechargeable Energizers. Mine has front suspension and I run mostly on pavement but I want to run it in an indoor gym.
they all have front suspension but there are two styles of forks that they come with some have the spring right down next to the wheel and others have ones with the spring up next to the triple clamp
mine are at the bottom. It works great for my uses (Includes driving down stairs, doing front flips off of curbs, driving off of curbs, etc.)
i have em on top the only thing i know about the other style is that they broke on the original full size bike i had. I only jump off curbs and front flip down stairs on our porch.
wierd. Mine have no problems.
the ones i broke were on the original full size stunt cycle but i was doing about a 2 1/2 foot drops with it.
So do I with the Mini!
I gotta tip: Where the springs are and the suspesnsion slider put some light 3-in-1 oil there. It makes the suspension so much smoother and less sticky.
you done any moding to yours. ive only done cosmetics stuff like taking all the tyco stickers off and using some real numberplate backround to make the front number plate white.
nope. My front number plate is white. I only did the oil thing. I use these awesome batts that massively increse power and speed. Much better steering is a plus too! I think more power would be in need if you upgraded the motor.
You could probably do a complete mod like milling aluminum chassis plates instead of steel or whatever. Then use real R/C electronics and some huge motor. Major power! |
