motors in shop
I don't see a forum about the shop .. so, I'm posting here.
What's the difference between the bitchar-g motors and the microsizer microsnap motors (besides price)? Thanks, Randy |
The highest rpm on Microsnaps is 2.6 and is made by a manufacturer. BitChar-gMotors' highest rpm is 3.8 and is made by a man named Kyle Clemmons and hundreds are produced :D . His motors are been sold at two places: Here in TinyRC Shop and www.bitchar-gmotors.com
|
Are the bitchar-g motors better? I've read some posts here that say the 2.6 and 3.0 motors tend to die quickly. But, I've also read posts that people say the 3.8 is the best motor.
|
I'm not sure if they die easily, but doubt it. KC makes all his motors to its best performing ability it can get and if it ever dies, just let him know and he will replace it. I currently have the 3.8 and 3.2 made by KC and they are da best; especially the 3.8. It is super fast and great, and hasn't died in almost over 10 runs. Its a great motor and I'll recommend it on top of the Microsnaps.

yes...the TOMY motors are notorious for crapping out. For a time, tomy stopped producing their 3.0 line because so many were defective. Ever wonder why you can only get TOMY 3.0s on ebay?

10 runs - I would hope not either!!
|
I said it didn't go out on me. I mean if it was a Tomy 3.0, it would prolly be long gone. I only ran my car with da 3.8 for about 10 runs, and soo far it hasn't died and doubt it will ever.
|
Dang, I just ordered a 3.0. I should have read this prior... I would have just ordered another 3.8 then
|
Yep Yep, but its ok. Where did you order your new Tomy 3.0?
|
I just ordered a 3.0, 3.8 and a microsizers 2.6 from TinyRc yesterday. They should be arriving in the next day or so...i hope. I didn't realize that with my booster car i didnt need the 3.0. I could have just lived with the 3.8

Here is a quick blurb on the ZipZap Nos engine and the 2.6 microsizer vs the 'official' Tomy 2.6 that comes with the special edition cars:
The ZipZap NOS is a slower motor but ran for 10 straight hours of play. That is a ton of time. This was pretty much non stop ( ok 1 break for pizza ) charge and go. The 2.6 special edition ( Imoprt ) died 8 hours in. The other 2.6 motor ( Microsizer in the box ) is still kicking but stalls a bit now and again. The most reliable motor has been the NOS probably because it's slower. We run the hell out of these engines when we play. The Arena games are really hard on them because of the mass amount of forward and reverse you are doing non stop. All of the 2.2 engines are still up and running but one that came from Microsizer defective. I guess unless you drag race, I would stick to the 2.6 and lower for the best overall bang for the buck. Has anyone else noticed these motors lasting longer than 8+ hours? I get the feeling we are the luckiest bunch on the planet. -AceQ- |
I have the NOS motor in my zipzap too, but the Black Celica 2.2 Microsizer kicked it's can all over the place. I havent raced the auto modellista against the celica yet though. they have the same motor, but you never know.
Btw, both the microsizer and the auto modellista bit-char-g are 27Mhz, but the controllers do not control both cars. Do you think that 27 Mhz in Japan is different from 27 Mhz in America? :D |
Are you sure it's the NOS and not the regular turbo engine? The main reason I purchase the ZZ engines is the price. Can't beat 7.99 for 2 motors (1.0 and 2.2) and three gears, then again does anyone really race with 1.0 crap?
