i have been working on track layouts for the epoch i have coming in the mail. i have made 3 so far on paint on my computer. i like them so far. but i would like to see how you guys would layout a track. please do them on some sort of paint shop type thing on you computer, not go lay it out on the floor of your living room and take a picture of it.

i do have track maker but i like how to use this batter. track maker is a very cool thing but i like to actualy draw the things, its easier for me.

for material i am going to be using ply wood. but im going to paint it with a type of rubber bumper paint. i am going to coate it like 5 times and that will make a nice big coate of rubber layed down for a track surface. i will not have a problem with traction thats for sure. i was thinking of using regullar paint then making a blue groove with the black rubber paint but how un controlable these cars are it would be very hard to keep it on the groove. so im am going to do a grey paint that will be rubber, then i will do a blue groove that will also be rubber so that i wont necacarly need to be on the groove to get traction.

yes a rubber track surface you will get the best traction you will ever see. the paint comes in arasal spray cans and can be bought atpep boys or something. it is used to paint car bumpers. its rubber so that it can flex when you hit something so that it wont chip like regular paint would. it is just like paint but has a rubber like base. it will take a couple coates before you will get optamum traction. you could even get the plasta dip stuff then diloot it with water and run it through an airbrush. that stuff is rubber based too and will most likely get the same results as the bumper paint.

and if you look you can see that by the 3rd track i got alot better at designing them. they llok better and have more of curved corners instead of a bunce of strait lines.

sounds like a good idea. i ditched my idea of the rubber paint stuff. im just goin to go to sams club and get their foam mats. i dont really want this track to look reallistic, i just want somewhere to race my epoch.
