Quickly diminishing battery life?

Hi, I got 2 Super Slicks and as the other members have noted, the battery life did last for near 20 minutes after only 45 sec. charge...but this only lasted for about the next 3 charges (completely empty before recharging), diminishing each time and significantly short battery life of 2 minutes by the 4th or 5th charge. I opened the second car and checked to see if the car already had some battery life in it before charging (which meant that I was double charging before, which would explain the longer first run) and it did--and soon followed the same drop in battery life after 4 charges. They are equal in battery life around 2 minutes. This could be my cheap rayovac batteries which are not totally new to begin with--but I'm just wondering what some other people's experiences were after 10 charges later...

I also bought the 2F2F purple motor kit but it'll probably die after like 1 minute with the battery situation I have currently.

As it is, my Bit clones last longer. :(

used batteries do that , and that purple motor will drain the piss out of them.:D

I was beginning to think no one returned to this forum. :)
I hope it's the batteries--the rayovac ones were new but kinda old--I just gotta get some new ones soon.

I find that any charger that uses AAA's only has about 10 really good charges before the AAA's get pooped out. I use a standalone charger for all my cars, and rarely use the stock one, only if I'need a quick boost.

I used to slow charge with D cells and a power resistor, now I use a MAX713 chip on a board I built. Maxim will give you 2 free sample chips if you order online! Free peak charger, but you have to build the rest of the circuit for it.
