Question about adding "booster" function to 1 speed clones...

Hey everybody! I'm new here, and I decided to get into mini rc stuff because its cheaper to mod these smaller cars than them bigger scale ones:) I just ordered 6 Precious brand clones...might as well stock up since I'll be chopping them up. Onto the question...

I saw this ZZ mod and came up with an alternate idea. What if you kept the motor connected to the PCB and connected the reverse channel to the transistor and connected the output to the motor also. This way you could have a normal forward speed and then you could press reverse for a "booster" type effect. Would having two power sources connected to the motor present a problem? When the transistor switches on, would the extra voltage and current travel back through the original motor connections and kill something on the PCB? If not, this would be a pretty cool mod...would make drifting a bit easier:D

Hope you electronic guys in the forum can answer my questions:cool:
