Simple hood hinges.
1 Attachment(s)
Easy
1) Trim off about half of the back screw posts on the hood. 2) Glue elastic cord in the holes, you may need to enlarge the holes to fit your elastic. 3) Run the cord through the back screw holes. 4) Tie off the elastic under the body. 5) Straighten and cut a paperclip to length to hold it open. 6) For everyday driving screw the front of the hood down. |

Well, uh, I guess it's simple alright...
Think it'd work opening the other way? |
Yes it would.

elastic cord out of a bungee cord? would a rubber band work?

The stronger it is the better, and it really helps to let the glue dry all the way before tying it off or pulling on it in any way. |
but why would you want it to open? i could understand if it had something under there besides a big hole that shows off the grayish brown front chassis suspension but it doesnt. you need to find a model with a plastic engine model and stick it under there.

There are some really cool engraved aluminum front plates. Or how about external FETs. I’m working on a front plate pc board with 2x3 stacked IRF7389’s with some surface mounted diodes to light it up just when you want to show it. |
