Holy shizzle TinyRC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive been waiting so long for the carbon fibre decks.
#1. 55$!? way way way too much. #2. YOU BOUGHT THEM FROM A SITE AND ARE JUST SELLING THEM OVERPRICED MAKE UR OWN TINYRC |
Aww no, is that how much they are?
I can understand why they'd be so expensive, I mean no one's bought them yet and they just started production..but that really sucks. I was hoping to get one on my meagerest of paychecks. :( Oh, well. At least they're high-quality stuff, if you can get your hands on one. And look at all the parts that come with it. |
too much for me. $55 i would rather get a video game instead. it does come with many different things though. the axle cups a expensive too $35. wonder how much the bearings will cost.
|
1. what in the sweet sweet name of crap are you talking about. making false accusations is not cool. tinyrc has been developing the chassis for a while. you shouldnt be coming in making accusasions and not backing them up. 2. you have a lot of nerve saying that
|
i agree the price of the axles are too high.
CF chassis is kinda alright though. (even if they're the price of a brnd new starter kit...) bearings are probally gonna be like $30 maybe? |

well they are a little too much for me. i get $5-$20 every other week. and i still wouldnt exactly call these "hobby class", yet. i hope someone will come up with a replacement for the stock electronics. just drop in the servo and new electronics and you're ready to go. :hint: :hint:
|
Of course, you no longer have an XMOD, but that'd be ok with me.

If you want propo electronics for the xmod, try out the mini-x RS set. Tiny sells it for $65, and I've seen it for as low as $50. It comes with a fully functional 27MHz AM Rx, an ESC that has been able to handle a 6 cell 180 in 4wd on my mini-x, a micro server and even crystals. All you'd need is a Tx for it (Tiny sells a solid one for $38). They're some of the smallest electronics out there and maybe not the best quality, but what do you want for $50? :P I don't have an xmod so I'm not positive if they'd be a perfect fit, but I'm sure you could make them fit.
Oh, and to top it off, there are 2 open slots on the ESC for adding fets ($4 online), which would probably make for the easiest/cheapest fet upgrade ever. I haven't done it yet, but its on the books. I hear the A handling is about 8A (stock) but I dunno if thats continuous or peak. Haven't found much info on the FETS (30100 something). If you want higher quality, theres always the full hobby grade electronics. You can find discussions on those all over the board. |
Suzie, went by your site (nice). So are you working on your own electronics or just gathering a set that will fit and reselling? The way you state it on your R/D page it sounds like you are building your own ESC. Sounds cool :P
Knew I should have taken more EE. Just had the one digital design class that went along with my CS BS. |
you can get the mini x electronics over at microcrhobbies.com for $50. it includes servo, esc, receivers and bands. i think its also the version 2.0 here is a quicker link http://66.216.107.252/index.asp?Page...ROD&ProdID=552
they look small enough to fit the xmods |

2) I'm not clear on what you mean. We developed it in conjunction with Zero Products (see the long thread documenting this: http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread.php?&threadid=18538). Is that what is confusing you? This is a TinyRC.com Exclusive, no one else sells it. We welcome your feedback, thank you for starting this thread. :) btrc |
