I wouldn't make an off-road car with that pinion. All that top-end you'd never see would be a real waste compared to how fast you could take that on a smooth surface, provided you have the force to get you there. For off-road applications, what you want is a few-tooth pinion that gets up and goes immediately; not one that takes some running room to get up there.

But, it's your project. :)

That looks like the same size as the XMODS motors, but there's no way I can tell if you'd need FETs or not just by looking at it. How much current does it want?

ok well i no its got some toruqe dats for sure
i have two mods so maybe i will put this in a road one but any way. it is a tab bit bigger then a 130 and it doesnt have flat sides
i though nero might have an idea bout the fets
i will put the motor wires and such on it and fab a holder and see how it runs i guess
i need a 5th or 6 cell though

that motor can handle up to 18 or more volts (maybe) cuz I have a RC car that has that same exact motor and I changed the regular 6 AA batteries into 2 9V batteries thinking that I would over-heat it and fry it but it didn't I ran it for 25 min and the motor was still cooler than body temperature. That motor has alot of tourqe too even with the 6 AA I could spin it out so it would be good for off-roading but an low top end.
