GWS pinion puller
 

Just wondering which one should I get for use with xmod motors? The GWS pinion puller micro or the standard?? Thanks

It doesn't matter they both have the 2mm shaft adaptor. But if you have 1/10 electric scale cars I wouls get the standard. Thats what I use. Besides they are both the same size and the pins are interchangeable.

Honestly, I've never seen a 1/10 scale that used a pressed-on pinion. They all normally use pinions held on by setscrews. The only advantage to using the larger puller is that it may be more durable. The disadvantage is that it may not "fit" the 130 motors as well. Mine is a larger type (not the same brand though), and I practically need three hands to use it. (A pair of vise grips and an adjustable wrench serve as substitutes)

I got the micro, works great but it is a tight fit between the can and the pinion...so i think a larger one would be harder to squeeze in there.

Thanks for the reponses. All of my 1/10 scale cars use pinions that have set screws so I wouldn't ever need it for that large a motor. So I think I'm just going to order the micro.

i bought a hudy pinion puller for 15 bucks shipped (included a buck something for paypal's insurance thingie since i've never shopped at the place before) and it's great. it's very well built
