Shame on me!
I did it. I bought a mini-z. I got a red enzo mr-02 today. I still love my xmods but this enzo is really something. It has a real low center of gravity so it sticks in the corners like a fly on stink. I am impressed. It is faster in the straights than my fully moded supra but not by a lot. What makes the car so much better is the handling. My racing buddies are going to shun me tomorrow. I was the one who got them all into xmods. I tried to stay loyal to the cause! I feel like benedict arnorld.

I feel you, I haven't crossed over yet, but I've been thinking about it for quite some time now. My LHS is selling some and i'm soo darn tempted to go buy one! good thing i'm broke!!! :D so yea I maybe purchasing an old MR-01 soon or until RS comes out with new things
|
If RS released another car series I would not have bought the enzo. I am glad I have it though. It is a real pleasure to drive. This is my first mini-z so I couldn't say if the mr-01 is worth the money or not. I know the mr-02 is worth every penney.

i wanna get a new rc. i love the xmods too but im tired of waiting for hop ups. i've done the 5/6 cell mod, painted the car, upgraded the wires and hand wound my own motor in a bb can with neos. i want awd and bearings but its taking RS forever to get them in stock. out of 27 RS in San Antonio none, of them have what i want.
well, i plan on getting a mini x. i heard those things were really fast out of the box with 4 cell. a mini z sounds nice too. i might get that too. since there are lots of hop ups for mini z's, they sound like fun. the mini x dont have hop ups though. but you can mod them. |

I thought about getting a mini-z mr-02 but..i love my x-mod and im really happy with it's indoor performance. I could not rationalize getting another 1/28 indoor racer for 150. So instead i ordered a mini-t on order for out door fun. ^_^ And ofcourse..JUMPIN!

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. I had been waiting to see what was going to happen as far as bodies go for the MR-02 before I made my decision. I knew I wanted one after taking a stock MR-01 for a drive, but I didn't like the fact that, like the XMod, the MR-01 is prone to rolling over in the corners. I also didn't like the fact that the Enzo chassis (the MM type) would not allow me to run any MR-01 bodies, such as the C5R, and others. When they brought out the MR-02 RM, that sold me. I would still have a large selection of MR-01 bodies to choose from, and also have the low center of gravity that the MR-02 chassis provides.

jaubery....I took the plunge with ya. I found a Kyosho Mini-Z RTR Skyline (on ebay) that looked like a good starter. So I bought it. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works. |

My racing buddies didn't shun me when they saw my enzo. They took it for a test drive before we raced are xmods. I think what they liked most about it was how smooth and controlable the mini-z is. It is also very quiet. The simple and efficent design of the chasis also impressed them. To keep things fair I didn't race them with my enzo. I kicked their butts with my xmod supra.

i wish i had one or for that mater the money to buy one:D

They have no reason to if they did. If I wasn't buying a house right now I would get one also. I like both, but would have to do alot of moding to fix the Xmod center of gravity.
