New to this Char G thing...
 

'Lo, I'm very new to this Char G thing and don't even have a "ride" yet :p I'm interested in knowing a few things and hope you guys can help me out.

1. Are there any 2G Eclipse bodys for these things?

2. Are there any differences in the car bodies other than the looks? I.E. The (insert car model here) is a ligher body, and it also faster and handles better etc.

3. When I do end up purchasing one, I'll also be purchasing an aftermarket motor *3.8*, battery, and tires.... Do the tires really help @ all, are there any other things that could help w/the handling aspect of the vehicle?

aaaaaaaand finally....

4. What's the proper technique for breakin' in these lil' motors anyway?

1. Not at this time no.

2. At this scale, no there's no noticable differences between the bodies

3. For suspension?...Tires, stabilizer bars (or springs instead) and a stronger steering magnet (like a natural magnet) are a few things you can think about

4. Run the motor for several battery charges with no resistence (like upside down or with none of the gears on)

hmm id like to see an eclipse and Civic Bit....haha id paint Alteeza style lights on it :D

i think that tires are one of the more important aspects of how your car handles. Depending on how hard the tires are up front and how soft they are in back, the turns are wider or sharper, and depending on how hard your stablizer bar is up front determines how hard the wheels grip. If you are gonna be racing on smooth tracks, the bit racer and the Bit char-g tire sets are very helpful, along with the stablizer set.

2. yes. to my experience the S2k is lighter.
3. tires help ALOT. if you're gonna mod your car, definitly get the tires. get the COLORED tires. the none colored tires(bit racer tires) are good for drifting. but not when you have a 3.8:eek:

i beg to differ
my bB makes turns wider(?cuz of the high center of gravity?)
my Accord wagon tend to have the tail side ways when i go into the turn too fast.
my gloria is the best overall body for me.

i tried it with the same setup and the car definitly drives differently with different bodies.
these difference are only noticable if you're using a 2.6 motor or faster.

Apparently I need to go back to ebay and order some other goodies :p
