im looking to make a track with those foam puzzle insulation mats and pvc.

which store would have the lowest price for those mats? local buy and online.

what are the exact types of pvc u recommend? ill check lowes or home depot, but any advice or suggestions will be appreciated.

thanks in advance!

I have looked all over and the best places I have found to buy the puzzel mats are K-mart and Walmart. Look in the Sporting Goods departments ... around the exercise equipment in both stores. K-mart sells individual mats for $2.99 each. Walmart sell a package of 6 mats AND 12 edges for just under $18. I bought my first ones at Home Depot and paid $20 for only 4 mats. Hope this helps.

Cost Co which is like Sams Wholesale, has a pack of Six with edges for $10.99 http://www.costco.com/

And if you use the edges and glue them vertical and cover with VINYL J MOLD(like drywall corner mold from Home Depot or Lowes), you can make a huge 18x8 foot, large oval track for around $70.

VINYL J MOLD $1.19 for like 12 feet
It slips right over the extra foam edges you get with the tile packs

The reason I say cover the side foam rails with plastic, is that foam grips the car on impact and stops you. I prefer bouncing of the rail and staying in the race.... at that price of scratching up the car body. Which is why I have a race body and a show body.
And another tip is that a hot glue gun holds the foam tiles and edges together like steel. Not to mention how easy the foam tiles are to cut any shape you need(ex. round corners).

I hope to to finish my track this weekend, and post some pics.

As far as rails, this idea here is IMHO the best option. You get great strength, flexability, it won't damage your car and, you can make it look like whatever you want. Check it out.
Not my idea but this track is God like
