Sluggbugg is selling driveshafts, other than that you're option is to either do-it-yourself or go pay outlandish e-bay prices.

Not entirely true. A user over at Xmodworld.com is selling the front and rear upper suspension plates made out of CF for $15 shipped. Here's the link . And, ZeroMan is in the process of making a CF chassis (price unknown at this time). Here's one link on the chassis development with some good pictures of the prototype.

I'll be selling these once I have a good way of isolating the antenna wire from the CF.

I love those. Can you give me an estimate price?

When can I start seeing some lift kits. We need more ride height. Rally is vital :D

slugbug, i don't think u need a antenamount i just use one of the holes to hold the mount on

slugbugg 01-14-2004 10:18 PM

My only concern is that CF is known to cause interferance with RC electronics and the Xmods have enough range problems without me making something to make it worse.

I'm looking for either a 2mm or 5/64 nylon machine screw with two nylon nuts to use as the antenna mount or a nylon stand off with a small enough hole for the stock Xmod screw to go into and hold the antenna.I'm looking to buy a case of 100 of whatever I find.

is the rear upper deck stronger than the plastic one? the front part where the arms go on each side of the motor broke on mine? do they conduct electricity?

slugbugg 01-19-2004 09:20 PM

The CF is stiffer than the stock parts and it is woven carbon fiber and the woven fiber will make breaking the pieces more difficult but nothing is unbreakable.

And yes CF can conduct electricity not nearly as efficiently as aluminum but it does.

aperson 01-20-2004 09:07 AM

does it conduct enough to short the batteries or the motor to anything?

Do you have any pictures of the chassis (all three types) and upper plates (both front and rear) available for us to look at? What exactly is the difference, both in design and overall weight, between the three different chassis setups?

aperson 01-21-2004 09:38 AM

are they clones of the stock chassis or are they pans?
