Organized Xmod races in Grand Rapids, MI
 

Within the next couple weeks, my son and I will be organizing races in the Grand Rapids, MI area. I used to race large scale R/C, but haven't done so for years. These Xmods have me itching to get back to racing.

We have a location and will be running on carpet. We will be using the PVC pipe track layouts suggested on the Xmods site. Race day will consist of 3 heats and a main. We are going to try to have ribbons for winners of weekly events and hold trophy events from time to time.

We are looking at 3 classes of racing:

Box stock (no modifications whatsoever)
Modified (only Radio Shack manufactured upgrades)
Unlimited (go nuts. Spinbrush motors, 5 or 6 cells, etc.)

Tentative day/time will be Saturdays around 10:00 a.m. Looking at an entry fee of around $3 to cover cost of location and ribbons/trophys/prizes
