hey everyone. im a drifter with the wrong stuff i think. i have a 5 cell mod, a rwd rsx, no suspension upgrade and the yellow motor with tire upgrade. the motor is stage 2, and when i use the drift one, it will spin forever cause of the torque. once i get a dv device for my pc (can someone explain that to me? i can't import video without it) i will post some good vids. my drifts around the counter island in my kitchen don't work 2 well. sometimes i get good ones, but usually the rear end grips 2 much and i can hear it skidding. can someone tell me how to make it actually SLIDE instead of like stuttering across so i can have it more smooth? the floor is like mahogany or walnut or oak or something. it is polished and has pretty good grip. im running hard slicks all around.

An AWD kit would help a lot.

Here's a stupid / crazy thought: Lube your tires?!?!?!? :D

what i have found to be the best is to put a strip of masking tape on each tire sticky side down, then go and run it on cement for like 5 minutes, come back inside and whipe off the dirt that's prolly on it, then when you start to drift you will have just the right amount of Grip and the right amuont of slip, enjoy!

your biggest fault there in your drift setup is you have an RSX j/k i would try put better magnets in your motor to increase torque. what drift method are you using?

it depends. sometimes i use the feint style or i use the kinda power over tech where u go in at full throttle and throw the car into the corner to break it loose. 2maro, im buying the suspension upgrade and the AWD upgrade!

hey lemans23, when you get the springs use the hardest ones in the back, people say it's not so good but if you intend to drift it will throw the rear end out just enough to pull amazing drifts, i have the front set w/ yellows too, that i have found to be one of the best setups so far. i can pull keiichi style 4- whell drifts with that set-up

can someone please explain the diff. styles of drifting?

the ones i know of that are possible by rc are

fient- turning away from the turn b4 cutting in towards the turn to induce slide (great for all types of cars ff, fr, awd)

powerover- gettin off the gas slightly turn then hit the throttle to reduce rear traction (i dont think it is possible on a ff setup)

break drift- taping the break right as you turn to reduce rear traction (only really works if you car is rear wheel drive cause electric cars break with what ever wheel powers the car)

there are a few more but i cant think of them right now. the fient and power over are my drift of choice

Well here's a couple of drift techinque's.

Clutch Kick , Power drift or "PowerOver" , E-Brake , Preturn Drift "Rally Drift" , There's the brake drift which is pretty simple , Inertia Drift , And there's a Technique used for under powered cars were you drop your front wheel in the ditch to cause oversteer and then drift through it.

I think these are pretty accurate if not feel free to correct Me.

yeah a 2 speed would be tight. have like a 8 tooth and a 13 tooth so it can get moving and then jet away
