Which Japanese freq. has longest range on a Bit?
I've got 2 of the ZipZaps right now. One on the 27Mhz and the other 49Mhz. The 49 has great range but the 27 is just crummy. Must be interferance in my area or something because I got another one from Radio Shack to try and it was very short ranged too.
So I'm thinking of getting a Bit from a hobby shop here that is using one of the Japanese frequencies. Which of these frequencies seems to have the best range? Does anyone know this or has figured it out? Thanks for any info. |
Well, you can circumvent the whole ordeal if you're comfortable with doing some micro soldering...For a better Antenna that is.

It's like a pot luck type thing.... I have 2- 45MHZ, And one has about 25' out of the box, and the other has about 3' before mods...
Go figure. If you don't get the best range, do some mods to it... silla |
Sorry I should have explained more.
I plan on doing mods on the 27Mhz ZZ. Just put a new controller antenna in yesterday and that helped somewhat. Gonna do a new car antenna this week. But I'm also looking for a new Bit to play with so I can mess with the Bit accessories and get a 3rd Freq to play with. Just wondering if any of the Japanese Freqs. are any better than any others before I buy. Thanks. |

As payaso said, it's pot luck...Buy the Bit in whatever MHz you want (other than 27MHz, since you can get that with any US version) and if you're lucky you'll get good range...If not, then put a new Antenna on it. |
Okie dokey.
