i was wondering

i was wondering if the heat sink that comes with the stage 2 motor kit is nessisary, i was wondering b/c i need 2 no if its okay to split a stage 2 motor pack, i'd like 2 know b4 sunday

I think it is because they generate so much heat it would melt the plastic 1
