the XMOD started it

well after owning the x mod for a week, i orders a mini z...soo much fun, now i just got my Losi mini t., too much fun, cant wait to upgrade...now im getting a hpi nitro, that i got for a great buy....i just wish it wasnt soo damn cold outside, yes it is an expensive hobby, but boy do i feel like a little kid again...all together i have spent around 500 for 4 badass r/c...not to bad, but i think the losi will get the most attention from me in the modding dept., the mini z and xmod restrict the terrain you can run on, but this losi goes everywhere....and i love doing wheelies....if anyone wants to know where i got for 130 shipped...lemme know...talk to you later...what sucks is i have class now till 9p.m. then i have 2 papers dues, work tom.,class tom., i cant wait until the weekend until i really put it up to the test...stay tuned for 1 week review

Wow it sounds like you have everything I have. I have an x-mod, mini-z mr02, and my girlfriend ordered me a mini-t for christmas. I'm excited about the mini-t. The z is awesome and fast, but it can only take so much because of the size and ground clearance. Plus, I get tired of pulling and blowing out all the hairs and debris from my mini-z from driving it in anything less than sterile carpet. Tell me how you like it.

A.C. SUBY 12-07-2003 07:38 PM

the mini t is so fun because it can do everything the mini z cant, like carpets, jumps, wheelies, the mini z will smoke it though, but mods are on their way,,,street tires, motor, bearings and oil suspension and im going to make a skid plate. the hardest thing about having a few r/c cars is finding time to play with them....especially the nitro since its so freaking cold outside...as for the 130 price, it was from ultimatehobbies.com, but they only taking pre orders till the 12th..so act fast because they will def. be a hot item this xmas....have fun

oh wow, that is very unusual. I thought Tower Hobbies was going to refuse to carry all Losi products (they still did last time I checked), including the mini-t, since losi is now owned by their biggest competitor, which is stormer I believe. Tower Hobbies is alright, no bad experiances with them and i trust them, i just think they hang their heads in shame of their outrageous shipping prices. Its a good move for them to sell the mini-t though. Its going to be a hot product.

Horizon Hobby owns Losi, IIRC.

Have you seen the video floating aroundof the Mini T with the brushless motor......wow! I will be getting one soon too as soon as somebody gets them in stock again.

BTW, I feel your pain. It took me a little longer, but after starting out with Zips and Xmods, I have moved on to an EMAXX. I am getting a Mini T, some kind of 1/10 road car, and maybe a Mini Z and MiniZ Monster.

Of all the models I've brought home, my wife likes the E-Maxx best. I'd also like to have a B4 Stealth buggy. Yum!

Right now most of my $$$ is going into airplaines. :-0

What do people mean by brushless? And can you buy the motors at hobby shops.

P.S. I dont know too much about the more expensive rc's
