i need info
What are FETs and esc's?
|
Try doing a search. I'm sure you will find some good information by doing that.;)
|
searches dont help
|
not quite sure what a fet is but i think is is a power regulator(mabye??) an esc is an electronic speed control. it lets you have propo.(i think) and reverse.
btw when people ask for info they would like something other than "do a search" (not trying to be mean) at least i gave it a try. i might be totaly wrong. |
so esc is kindof like a tranny? and other stuff too?
thanks god...im in so much pain. my knee and elbow are throbbing from flipping a go kart w/out a cage. just to let you know |
ouch!! that must hurt! sorry. i am not an rc wiz by any means but i hink that is is kinda like that? i think it controls the current going to the eingine.
|
Well last night my wire in my lower braces stuck through a layer of skin in my gums and i had to yank the wire outta my braces with a pair of pliers (STARILIZED OF COURSE).
Just 1 more month and these hellish things are coming off!!! |
yeah i had to have those but only for 20 months!
|
fet is short for Mosfet. they control the current to the motor. when you get your XMOD i would reccomend getting some thermal grease, taking the electronics out and putting more grease on the mosfets. if you want to put a bigger motor that's not from RS in you might have to put bigger ones in. an ESC is an electronic engine control that has mosfets in it to control the car. it gets a signal from the reciever on a regular hobby class RC car (not micro or mini although some have them) that then sends the electricity to the motor. an ESC replaces a servo with a big resistor.
does anyone know where to get mosfets for these? |
