Deceitful Supra...It's what you don't see that gets ya.

Looks innocent enough from the outside? Well, it is what is packed under that shell that counts. I found a way to slap the Supra body on my 6 cell 7.2v modded chassis with out changing the appearance of the body, other than the decals.

I cut some of the rear mounting tab supports enough so that the battery pack could slide back towards the rear and get out of the windshield. I also added a spacer (bushing) between that tab and where it screws into the body. This raises the rear a little, but not too much to notice. This gives the room needed to have the battery pack under the body and still attach it properly. I hot glued the battery pack to the inside roof and installed the quick connect on the wiring so I can remove the body easily.

It doesn't sit too high in the rear...

wonder how much power the motor cam handle b4 burning up

SerialKillinSam 11-08-2003 01:08 AM

hows the proformence? how much faster is it? does it heat up fast?

viperkilla 11-08-2003 06:24 AM

Wow that looks cool. How much more speed or power do you get from the 2 extra AAA batteries?

Bad Company 11-08-2003 07:41 AM

I have run it for a full charge with only a little increased heat build up. I have yet to experience any problems. As for speed, I can't tell you what the exact speed is, but it is a big difference. Off of the line, there is no competition with a normal celled car.

Well, after running it around last night, it went sooo fast that all of the decals blew off, but I did pick up some other decorations while running thru a pack of mosquitoes. Heh.

I really didn't care for the old graphics, since I have them on my Skyline too, besides, I'm going to look for some new graphics today.

well how fast do you think it goes!

All I can tell you is a lot faster than the normal car. I'm going to try to figure a way today to get a idea of the exact speed thru a long feet per minute drag.

What is really nice is the increased torque, even on the higher speed motors.

ok thanks a lot

Let's just put it this way, It's not a car to be messed with. ;)

Ecspecially after I stick either one of those stage 10 or other motors in it.

viperkilla 11-08-2003 09:43 AM

Hmmm that would be sweet when you stick a stage 10 motor in it. Geez that thing would be flying.

Hey BC

Can you give us a diagram of how exactly that you wired it all up? I have already picked up a battery holder and I am ready to but it in, but want to be sure of the wiring before I do.
