Paper Bird 1's wing span is exactly 10 inches.........it is downright puny next to my megatech merlin (40" wingspan)

Comrade_Boris,
What a great project! Several have attempted a bit plane, but they are usually converted from other plane kits and such and have huge wingspans (compared to yours). Never thought of using a paper plane. Don't think it'd hold up too well in a crash, but with something that simple, you could easily make another for practically free, once you had the idea perfected. Keep working on that! I'm sure everyone would love to see some pictures or videos of it in action. In the meantime, can you explain what parts you are using? Does it have a working propeller, or does it just glide and steer with the steering magnets? |
it will have a prop and i am using no more than balsa, note card, and toothpicks........ill post more when i have time
|
wait... I see in the photo that the fuselage is a stick? Then how are you going to attach the motor and prop on? By the way your project ownz!
|
I'm not an airplane man but something said "look at this".
cool idea, looks like a fun project. |
Make sure you get the wing shape right.... if you dont it wont fly at all. you could use balsa + plasic wrap for the wings actually.... it would be extremly light, but would take a very steady hand to cut the right shape for the balsa wood.

Very cool Comrade_Boris! And I've moved it to the new Micro Flight section! :)
