r/c muscle machines (sstuners)
Hi i jus tbought one and i ahve to say they are very detailed great body kits. They only have 2 imports right now the rsx and supra rz. They have other muscle cars but i dont really care abotu those. I was wondering if i could hop up this car with a 3.8 motor or other. That would be great but first i need to figure out hwo to open the rear compartment.any help with this subject is apreciated thank you!! FOR YOUR TIME!!

Pics Please!?
Im looking forward to seeing these.....i have a home made version already which i love...but id like to see what the official product looks like. |
i tlooks exactly like the non rc counter parts but it's not a bit char clone. It uses 2 motors one to turn and one to go forward wich is very hard to turn on smooth surfaces.

Thanks for the heads up but can you provide pics?

Here is one.

As for the rear compartment, take the top compartment off (where the circuit board is) and the rear should pop right off. You can also put another battery in it very easily just like the others. I havent had time to dremel out the little plastic piece that holds the turning motor in, but maybe someday :)

One more pic for detail. The car is actually a dark blue... my camera has too much flash to show it.

SOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLD!
Thats EXACTLY what a 1:64th Micro RC car is supposed to look like. EXACTLY. The scale is PERFECT. If these cars run 1/2 decent this puts them ahead of regular ZipZaps in my book EASY. They have my cash once i have them. One of these...one XMOD. Thank you for the PIC by the way. Side Note....this is what i hoped the AWESOME RC ( Nitrous Bottle micro rc cars at walmart ..Fast And Furious) would be like. As impressive as the cars were initially ...the small wheels and wheel hop eventually eroded its play value. THESE cars on the other hand have the incresed size advantage that the Awesomes lacked. Im looking forward to these dropping in stores. |
BTW...where did you purchase the Supra?
And im surprised...the release of these SS tunerz seems to not have struck a cord with the micro rc fans yet. I suppose with the onset of XMODS and the drop of the SE propo chassis they might already be obsolete........ Oh well..ill pick up a few anyway ( in fact whatever they make as Zip Zap bodies continue to bite despite the chassie improvement). |
For now, you can only get the Tuners at Hobby Lobby. They are kindof a special/rare/exclusive-Hobby-Lobby thing. They have Supra's and Acura RSX's at the moment. I'm sure they will release more later on though.
As far as running good, they have a good battery that can take around five 45 second charges for a good 20 minute run. They are also pretty fast on my wood floor :) . The steering is a little off, but that can be adjusted pretty easily by the switch on the bottom. Lots of fun, you should check them out. Edit: These are exactly the same size as the normal SS Tuners... 1/64. They look exactly the same but they just have a wire sticking up out of the back window. Pretty cool. |
Much appreciated Psi....if yu dont mind can you post a link to the Hobby Lobby page selling these cars. Last time i checked i couldnt find them ( but that was over a month ago).
Can you imagine if the "Fast and Furious" line of RC cars ( both ZZ and Awesome ) had looked like this? The detailed bodies mixed with the marketing ( whether you love marketing or not) of the movie would have had these flying off the shelf. Hell Muscle Machines has quite a few of the cars from the movie in their line up if im correct. |
I wish I could post a link but there isnt one. For the boxes of RC Muscle Machines that went to Hobby Lobby, they put one of the RC Tuners on the top. They were totally unannounced and caught everyone by surprise. The only advice I can give you is to find a Hobby Lobby and go see if they have one :(

PSI......curious.....at this point would you rate your Supra higher than the ZZ SE?
I know the new bells and whistles on the ZZ SE are impressive but the damn bodies throw off the appeal imo. Im seriously considering buying soley to stretch it and place one of these bodies on it. |
