Best material for lowering tab?

I've tried lowering my Honda S2000 with a piece of plastic from a DDS Tape. It's way to soft and splinters a bit, resulting in not evenly lowered car.

I read that someone made a new L-style tab from a piece of lego.
I planned to use the transparrent piece of a CD box.

Instead of doing it over again I'm wondering what's the better choice?

I use an old chassis and cut pieces out of it.

Plus I guess you could create a new steering spring from a floppy

I use sheet styrene plastic that I get from the hobby shop.
But, any piece of plastic that's the right thickness will work. I know that lots of guys use old credit cards! Hey, if helps control your credit card spending... what the hell! :p

Well, I used plastic sprue leftovers from model kits when I did mine a long, long time ago.

P.S. don't listen to DriveWRX, cutting up your credit cards means you wont get to buy more Micro R/Cs :D
