49mhz

ok this is sorta weird. all my cars are 27mhz and my brothers has a 49mhz, and a clone (45mhz). now all my cars work fine, but the microsizer 49mhz wont get a signal. the only time it works is when its on the controler and the intenna is close to the car, and it doesnt even work like that. but the 45 controler can control it if its touching our close (about 1 cm). i took the car to hobby town and the controler they had worked on the car. i told microsizers this and they sent a new controler. i tried to get it working again and still no luck. i told microsizers it still didnt work and they sent a new car. but still the new car and transmitter dont work with any of the 49mhz cars or transmitters. lately i tried moving the car with one on the controler and the other one was charging. they would both work once in a while and this only happend when the old car was on the transmitter.

i'm totally confused with the cars and was wondering if someone has an idea with whats wrong with them. the only thing i can think of is a 49mhz signal is going threw my house and stoping the car from responding other than that i'm stumped, help would be greatly appreciated

was the 45mhz frequency active while running it? sometime close frequencys can cause interference (45-49). Other than that I cant think of much of anything:confused:

id say just get a new car because with MS the pcb it a direct match to the controller's frequency. so, no matter what, unless the controller is a direct match, you are screwed. sorry 2 give good people bad news. :(

Sounds like your POTS got messed up somehow. On the top of the PCB is a little hole with a screw in it. Turn the screw until it works again.

SkyLiNEz 4-eva! 07-30-2003 11:14 PM

dat could be it too. or maybe he should get a new car. wait, what are POTS? never heard that b4.

not really i just charged the car and then i put eh remote intena close to it and it worked the other car wasnt moving, dead battery

skyline you said that with ms the controler and car are a direct match but with my car the clone controlers work with the ms and the ms controler works with the clone

murcielago, that sounds like it might be it, but i'm still looking for another screw driver small enough to fit in

That, unfortunately, is the only problem with fixing this.

Micro S2000 07-31-2003 12:08 AM

nice i found some screw drivers that are hella small i knew i had some some where

Micro S2000 07-31-2003 12:23 AM

damn when its on the controler i got it to run but as soon as its not it dies

Micro S2000 07-31-2003 12:31 AM

that was wierd, when i had one on the controler and the intenas of the two cars touched they would go but when they disconnected nothing

Micro S2000 07-31-2003 12:33 AM

or when one car was on the chargerand the other car is close to the transmitter intenna they both work, on the last to things the cars are working in unisin if one is on the other is if one is off the others off

you can have my 49mhz microsizer and remote for 10 bucks shipped to you with a 2.6 motor in it.if you want it even runs straight as most ms dont...

Booster cars and regular cars are on different frequencies within the same band. If you're trying to control a booster car with a regular car controller you would get those same symptoms that you explained. As far as different companie's clones and stuff, well they may be on different frequencies within the same band too. For example 49.0mhz and 49.5mhz. Is it a booster car? They make controllers to control those. That may be what the hobby shop people used.

Micro S2000 07-31-2003 11:45 AM

none of the cars tested have been booster cars my bro and i dont have any and the one at hobby town doesnt, so i dont think thats it

and murcielago you pot thing worked sorta, i got the cars to work fully when on the charger but die when not

Lord_Nick_D 07-31-2003 12:14 PM

well that means you battery is dead
try cycling it by charging it up fully then fully dischargeing it also charge it more then once its better
