What have I done???
I was trying to do the twin battery mod to my Booster and after fitting the new battery I found that I had no noticeable improvement in performance. I decided to return it to a standard Char-g with a single battery. This time instead of using the battery clip in the chassis I decided to just solder the negative terminal to the Intergrated circuit board.[As the wires were already on the battery and I was feeling to lazy to remove the solder.]:D
Now my booster has gone mad its running at least twice as fast as it was, and can burn out a 3.0 standard motored car with a 1.6. I can even get it to clear 8 inch gaps without stalling when I have a 2 motor installed. I thought that It might just be that the battery was warm due to the soldering, But its still doing this even two days after the mod work. I'm not complaining but is my charg behaving outragously fast or is the normal performance I should be experiancing. I'm going to try the same mod on my other cars to see it I can boost these:D |
er so what are you saying?
what are you trying to say, u dont like the battery getting hot? or what
|
i dont really know how or what u are talking about...but if your car is faster...its all good :D

Why can't I make good mistakes like that *launches bit out of a slingshot in hopes of kwiker 1/4 mile slip* :(

Now that I think about it, last night when I was re-soldering a wire to the pcb I needed to remove the battery to give myself some xtra room. After I did the deed I put the bit on the charger to test it, (because if I has put all together it surely wouldn't have worked - *Murphy's Law*) and when I hit the throttle my 2.2 was screamin' like it was just givin a shot of NOS. When I had put the battery back in it was back to it's old self. So it would seem that direct contact would have something to do with it, in other words when Tortoise-Licker took a short-cut he accidently achieved boost. OOOOO..... must try this tonite.
Say Tortoise-Licker question for you: Did you notice any any reduction in battery life? Thanks :D |
