New Motorworks diecast...possible wheel mods.

Found these in Wal Mart today. They can be taken apart and the wheels used for wheel mods. Now here is the bad news...right now, series 1 only has 6 cars which are all pastel colors except the black. The wheels are painted to match. The yellow and black work though. I am gonna attempt to strip the paint and paint them myself, because the painting on them now is pretty cheap looking. The wheel designs themselves look alright. There is potential here.

Here they are disassembled.

Man, Motor Works just never stops do they? I've never seen so many different products come from one company. And, leave it to Ahh5hit to find yet another source for wheel mods. He's the king of bling!

The funny thing is....all of these wheel mods, and I have yet to get off my butt and get in on one of those group buys from Germany. I will for sure next time though.

Dammit.....

To purchase or not to purchase. Definently better looking than the ZZ Civic body......and they look as though they will accomodate a chassis underneath. But considering how fast Motorworks is pumping out product....hell...they might MAKE an "Import Tunerz" style line of micro r/c.

Ahh$hit....based upon your close up inspection would you say they look as though they would accomodate a chassie ( as in are they deep enough)?

You would have to dremel the screw mounts under the body and stretch the chassis. Luckily, I had a stretched chassis from my H2 mod that was just aboutthe right length...

Any turning restrictions?

Well thank you for the close up. The cars do give me a " Thomas the Train" feeling ( lol - The word bubbly comes to mind) but they are better than the ZZ versions. Do you think you could provide a front shot? Thanks in advance.

Actually, there is no turning restriction at all. The body fits pretty nicely on my chassis. Here is the front shot...

Here is a shot of under the chassis. Nice tight fit....on a stretched chassis.

I dont know....hmmm

Regardless thanks for the pics Ahh$hit. Lets keep out fingers crossed in regard to the Import Tunerz line of Micro R/C's?

*Runs off to check stretched dual Acura RSX in order to confirm whether it sits the same way as the Yellow Motor Wroks Civic.............

in the front pic it looks like the body is a little off centered to the left and twisted clockwise

That's because I just sit the body over the chassis so Cubicle could see what it would look like. I haven't permantly attached it.
