Question for Ahh5hit, Payaso, anyone.....HELP ME!!!!!!

Ok, I'm trying to do a wheel mod on my MS using either Import Tuners or Modifiers wheels. But I can't even get the wheel off of the frickin axle/knuckle. I tried to use needle-nose pliers, but the just don't work no matter how I pull. What is the secret to removing the wheels? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!

Hey ugh, have you tried to use a twisting motion? Oh, and for getting the wheels off the knuckles, try pulling out the pin in the center first.....

I use 2 Gerbers or you can use pliers & needle nose pliers. Hold both tight and pull the pin straight may have to use a twisting motion, but be sure to pull it straight out. If you are talking about on the diecast, I remove the axles and wheels from the car, hold the axle with the Gerber or pliers and pull the wheel off the same way, but using my hand as not to squeez or damage the wheel.

What the heck is a Gerber? And how long did it take you to pull out that pin?

A Gerber or Leatherman is a brand name for one of those multi-tools that you see mechanics carry around in a pouch. You can find them at any hardware store or Wal Mart. You don't have to get those names, there are many others. Basically, you can use pliers to hold the knuckles and needle nose pliers to pull on the pin. It takes my about 3 seconds to pull it out. I just get a nice tight grip and twist a little while I pull.

but wouldnt that fux up the pin?

I think it would screw up the plastic more than the pin. It seems from his experience that it does neither.

You will squeeze just enough that the knuckle doesn't slip. The rounded ends of the knuckle sit in the teeth of the pliers. The head of the pin kinda fits right in one of the teetth of the other pliers, etc. I've done many of these mods and have not had one problem other than a bent pin my first time from not pulling it out straight, but even that was fixable.

but if u have combination wire cutters on the pliers and the pliers slip u have to buy new knuckles.
