Cripple Cap On Car Board... new evidence...

1 Attachment(s)
Hello all,

I've seen a few posts about the cripple cap on the board of the actual car and after examining my celica with HORRIBLE range I noticed the new little brick.... notice the solder around it looks horrible... as though it were added after the fact...

I did remove it and got about 2 inches extra range.... so I'm not sure if it actually does anything.. but the solder DOES make it look like it was added after the fact for sure.

How do u take it out?

you take it out with a soldering iron and some solder wick. just heat up the solder around the crippler and wick it up with the soldering wick. then you'll have to cut it off with an exacto knife. it takes a while to do it though. Only try this if you have experience with soldering on small things.
