what tires for better high speed handling with a 4.2 booster?
 

I have a 4.2 in my booster car and it rolls fairly easily on most surfaces. What tires would eliminate this problem?

i use lxx tires in the rear, very nice grip, if u flp too much i guess u could put harder tires in the front

so hard in the front and ?medium? in the back?

As far as I know the only thing the microsizer tire kit is good for are the front tires because they are so hard.

so if i get a tire kit i should get the bit char-g colored one or nothing? I read that the microsizer tire kit is horrible in a post i found while searching for an answer to my question.

I got the colored tires and the treaded tires. I don't like either. I know some people like the different colors, so I wont be too cruel when I say the colored ones look a little too fruity for me. Who ever heard of pink tires anyways?

The ones that come treaded I don't use much either. The treading doesn't seem to do squat.

I use pullback wheels in the back (you have to cut them a little to make them fit), and hard/slicks in the front. You can find the slicks on kit racers (I think. Can somebody confirm this?). Buying a kit racer isn't a bad idea. It comes with a battery, motor, heat sink and a few other peices to mod with.

I also tried some foam tires I jacked from an ergonomic pen grip. They had amazing grip and were very light. That makes them great for back tires. Since they're lighter, the motor doesn't have to push as hard to get them spinning.

Only certain KIT racers have front tires. Some of them have molded plastic wheels instead of tires.

Hard front and soft rear. I like the Microsizer tire kits, I do only use them for fronts though. They are too hard for rears. In the rear I use stock or softer tires, Zip Zap all seasons are really grippy, but they are a little narrower and lower profile.

Another thing to consider is not really tire related at all. I've been trying to come up with some way to add some weight to the bottom of the chassis somehow to make it a little less top-heavy. When I run mine without the body, it doesn't flip nearly as much, so I'm thinking that this would work.

I find with my 2 cell lowered convertible zip zap, it just does mad slides, but almost never rolls. When it does, it usually lands on it's feet!

Stretching a set of stock front tires on the back makes for good traction (low profile is good):)
