Legal Trouble???
 

well a month ago i sold this guy a rc car for 30 bux. canadian. I hadd modded it slightly and i had told him about the mod. Now after he received it he has sent me 2 threats saying he is going to sue me if i dont refund it. The car wroked a day b4 i sent it out. so can he really sue me???? its not my fault if it broke in the mail.
And he didnt ask for priority mail.
Also this guy was recently banned from rcmod, so i think he has had a nervous breakdown or something.

also im very scared cuz i dont want to be in trouble, and if this guy sues me my parents woul get super mad.

First of he can't sue you, as you are a minor, but he could sue your parents.

On a sale like this though you have to bring up all email correspondence and be sure you never wrote or communicated that it is a working and guaranteed working part. For the future always inform any buyer that the item is sold AS-IS only.

hes probably just a minor as well. The car he got was probably still in working condition when he got it or he broke it and is trying to get his money back. He cant really sue for something like this unless maybe you drove the car in dogfood, he got the car, and his dog tried to eat it and died.

whooh when he sent me those threateniong emails with swearing in them i was like sweating nervously. A couple of my friends said the same thing as u, he got it and he broke it, or he doesnt want it anymore. Kids these days...

have him send you a picture of it to you or send you the car to see whats wrong. If its like seriously broken, dont even bother, he probably broke it.

The best thing to do now is forget about him and the car. If you keep up correspondence things will only get worse.

why would he sue for a $32 car? it would cost him like a million times more than the car to get a lawyer and a court appearance. and by the time you appear in court he'll have forgotten what its about and the judge would say that its not worth enough to sue for. and he probably isnt old enought to sue you anyways. and his parents probably wouldnt let him sue anyway.

lol, what a geek. Seriously, isk8blind is right, it would cost 100 times more just for the lawyer than the car is worth. The judge would just dismiss the case because its not worth the time and money.

Even if he did sue I'd print those e-mails out & use them against him to counter sue for verbal assault

this dip**** is trying to hack my paypal! I got an email today saying today, to reset ur paypal password go here. blah blah blah, i didnt report it as fraud yet. WTF should i do with this liser? I dont even use the email he keeps emailing to. What if he sends me stuff in the mail? Cuz hed know my address from the package i sent him. If he sends threats and crap my parents will never let me buy off the net again! :(

he probably isnt a good enough hacker to hack paypal cuz paypal probably has one of the best firewalls and stuff like that there is. but he might be able to hack your email.so take important stuff offf there and send it to a diff. email. and if he keeps sending you stupid emails send him a fake virus. if you want fake viruses just ask me.
