Rock bottom civic.

Well, I was able to go even lower than my gold Civic. This time I did the tab lowering to the max, removed the front stabilizer bar, and had to shave a little of the rear fender. I installed the newer and smaller diameter wheels. The chasis and body are off of the ground at 1/32" in the center of the car. Yes, it is still fully functionable. This is strickly a table top car now. This is no doubt as low as you can go and still be able to drive it.

And finally, the height off of the ground... It looks like it's touching, but it's not.....barely.

that's trick! You do amazing work! I'd like to try a lowering mod with my new black cobra. As much as I like yours I dont think I'd go that low cause I'd end up scraping! hahaha!:D ( I cant resist going wide open down my hallway!) Are those new wheels from a zip zap?
|
that's some sweet lowering there dude. i might do tab lowering but seeing how i crash my zip once in a while, i dunno if the new tab woudl take the punishment. i personally wouldn't go that low cuz i like large wheels although your small wheels match the scale of the car much better
|
Thanks for the compliments! The wheels are from the DUB City 1/64 diecast cars. If you use a credit card and super glue for your tabs, you will not have any trouble with them breaking. I run all of my cars and have removed the bodies numerous times, and the tabs have held up.
Cool Dad: You can lower your Cobra and still run flat out. You will have less trouble with tipping on turns too. Just don't lower it as much. |
damn good work as usual...those wheels are sweet...i'm still looking for those dub cars you got them from...where did you say you got yours?
|
it looks pretty damn sweet, but personally I need just
a lil' bit more clearance |

all you need is a bit semi, and you can try doing the F&F stunt ( swip'n under the truck) with those civics nice oh ya one thing how'd you lower it that low ?, dosn't the pcb cover hit the front window . because back when zipzaps came out ,i did the tab thing with a hot knife. it was so low i had to squeez the body on that a cracked the front window later |
how do those tires feel? are they hard and plasticky or soft and rubbery?
