very nice truck! any side shots? is it still an 8x8?

This truck is rear wheel driven. I have the cut this long truck to half the size so I have more room for the electronics. I still have some external work on this truck.

Here is the side view.

I know you guys say no question is a stupid question, but it still might be a stupid question. What is the gold metal thing on the rear right of the truck. (I'm color blind so correct me if I'm wrong)

welcome to the forum lexar!, ei very nice work ;)... hope to see more of your work! i notice your not using a trimmer/pot on your ESC (correct me if i am wrong :) ) you are using the TTTT esc upgrade?

Killer your right I am using TTTT ESC upgrade. The silver round object is the charging jack. I have added a fuse in the charging jack just to prevent a short circuit.

what kind of connection type do you use for the charging jack? i'm interested in doing the same kind of thing.

what part is in the truck?
what part connects to the charger?
where did you find it?

a cool idea but don't know if it can be done...what baout adding a tiny leds to indicate when the battery is dry and full? i would love to do it but have no idea whats involved...

Components need:

1. SPDT Slide Switch
2. Ear Phone (Small one) Socket (Mono)
3. Ear Phone Pin (2 pin connection)
4. Fuse (1 Amp or less)

All the above available in RadioShack stores.

I don't have pictures of them. I will post it later. Pls refer the circuit.

that's a cool idea! :cool:, to know if your battery is still good, just remove the cover of your truck, and you'll see three tiny leds (green, yellow, and red) shining brightly which indicates that your battery is full and ready to go, but once you see only the red led litted up, it means that your battery is not good or low in power! :D.... coool :cool:

those earphone jack and socket you are using right now may cause harm to your trucks electronics or to your charger, notice how close the positive and the negative terminals on the plug connector, if the connector becomes loose inside your truck while your charging, short circuit may occur :eek:... so instead of Earphone Socket, try using a 2 pin connector (male and female) i think Radio Shack have them and ask for the smallest one, or visit your LHS and ask for a small dean's plug connector.. this plugs may help prevent damaging your charger or your electronics due to short circuit or reverse polarity, no need for the fuse and may save you a little more space for any additional upgrades say..a horn or a wicnh maybe in the future ;).. just a suggestion. :) -æ

i tried to use micro deans plugs for a plug in type charging port...yu have to apply too much force to plug and unplug them:( . it would just crack the body, so i just have it tucked into the rear bed. i wanted to have the port type...i still moght if i can fabricate some metal panel to hold it in place. i like the idea of led display more and more....i'll post this in a new thread...sorry for hijacking you thread lexar;) . continue with the good work.

i see you used parts from tttt parts....whats you opinion of them? by the way, tttt parts now has an english page!:D

Yes I liked TTTT parts because their delivery time is fast. But quality is ok. I used TTTT parts because of initial failure in my front axle design. Now I have strong copper chassis and crude looking front axle made from picture hanger clips. But they are much stronger than the TTTT parts. My own gearbox is yet be completed (NWSL gearbox). Killer your right reg the earphone socket. I have a different connector (puchi maru type connector) which I will post the picture.
