MicroSizers Auto Modellista & MicroSnap 3.0 available

Just wanted to let everyone know..... Hopefully it's not old news!

I was browsing a major hobbyshop's web site (I don't know if it's OK to say which one).

They have the MicroSizers Auto Modellista set in stock, both 27 & 49 mHZ. :D
AND they list a MicroSnap 3.0; available early May (there's a pic of it and it has a dark green endbell instead of red).

Also blue Beetle, orange Supra and red 350Z body sets are listed as in stock.

so u can get a automoddelisa set off toyeast that comes with a 2.2 and perfection 3.8 for $25

babykiller, i prefer the bit set when compared to the MS set.. but still, im not eating 15 dollars worth of shipping just for that..

i'd say that ordering from inside the USA is better for the people that dont care whether it's an MS or a BCG... mainly cuz u get it faster, shipping is cheaper, and you get really good customer support...

remember, even if something's cheap, it probably means ur gonna be force fed shipping rates, border fees, and taxes... so how much did your AM set REALLY cost....?

heh, im planning to group buy from toyeast sooner or later.. so i wanna kno ^_^

I would go with the Toyeast Tomy Bit. Since Tomy tend to have more range than MS.

yeah + that set is cheaper than any other ive seen on the web even with its $10 shipping there was 1 other for $35 without shipping and it dosnt come with a 3.8

The shipping charges can't be that bad for one car! I ordered 1-BCG Booster w/3.8, 1-Lxx Automodellista, 2-Precious, decals, 3-3.8 Perfections & 2- sets of tires and my s/h was $21.00. Not bad for the amount of merchandise I ordered, and it took 5 business days to my door! I've ordered from within the US and sometimes it took longer than 5 days for delivery and s/h wasn't all that low either. But it's all according to where you live and order from.

Well, I'm not happy at all with the way my MS Pro handles, that's one strike against the MS AM set.

In the case of Toyseast, you have $26 for the Bit Char-G AM set+ a 3.8, and shipping is $10.26, that's $36.26 total. Shipping from China is amazingly fast. I orderd form TE last Monday, and recieved my package yesterday, that's 8 days including the weekend. That's almost as fast as anything I've ordered from USA, and I've done a lot of mail ordering in my day.

On the otherhand, MS AM set at Tower is $29.99, no extra motor, and last I checked their shipping is $7.99. That's $37.98.

I think it's clear who the better deal is.

ive noticed that ms pros preformence are alot worse then sports i mean i can put a 2.6 in my pro and it runs like a 2.6 if i put it in my sport its like aa 3.4

crazydave 04-23-2003 09:22 AM

Yeah, my Sports are monsters too, glad to hear someone agree with me.

I just don't get it. So many people complain about their MS Pros, and I can't seem to get a bad one. My MS Pros play at an entirely different level than any of my other similarly sized cars. Excellent speed. Amazing steering. Very little vibration. Much better fit on the rear axle than my clones. No range issues that aren't directly related to my house causing terrible interference problems with 27 MHz signals. My 49Mhz MS Pro has the best range of all of my RCs. Both the 27 MHz and 49MHz cars do equally well outdoors. The only reason I’d buy anything else at this point, would be for a new feature or a different frequency.

As for shipping times, I recently ordered from an American retailer, shipping dirt cheap USPS ground from California to New York. I had my order in four days. And I even slowed down the process with a credit card mailing address problem, which required them to make an evening call to me. A deal would have to be too good to be true, or for something I could not get anywhere else, for me to order outside the US.

Buzzbait, I think there is a bad batch of Microsizers out there. I bought a Sport a couple months ago at Target. It's a little beast. Awesome, by far my best car. I bought a MS Pro at Toys R Us a couple weeks ago. It has to have the steering adjustment all the way to one side, to go straight, and I had to twist the heck out of the chassis to get the steering equal in both directions. Now it's ok, but hard to drive. I bought a MS Sport from Toys R Us a week later, and it has the exact same problem. Both the Pro and the Sport from Toys R Us seem to be punchier than a typical bit, but neither is the monster that my first sport is.

I don't know, just seems odd that the both cars had the exact same problems, and now Toys R Us is blowing them out at $10. But hey, I might of just had bad luck. It's a crap shoot with these cars.

hogjowlz 04-23-2003 05:29 PM

my sports and pros both handle exactly the same. the motors in all suck but who really uses tomy motors?

all of them had crap range. good thing i got a buncha clone pcbs.

Hey guys,

Can you pick up the Hobbico Microsizers Auto Modellista at any "bricks and mortar" stores? Meaning not online:D

Thanks in advance!

My Sport is a Beast Also. I put a KIT 2.2 in it and it'll kill any Tomy 2.6 out there! (single cell that is) Back it up and it'll pop a wheelie, then I put a KIT 2.6 in it and it flips everytime with clean tires and it will kill most 2.8 & 3.0's!
