Anyone wanna build a website?

I have been building web sites for about a year and a half now, and have finally found a decent host... It is www.powow.com, and it gives you 50 megs, unlimited bandwidth, and some other cool features. The only problem is, you don't get a domain name. You get something like this: www.powow.com/username... So, I came accross this site: www.dot.tk. It gives you FREE names for your site. My new one for my lego site is www.creativemindslms.tk. It is real easy to sign up, and completely free. This is the PERFECT hosting plan for anyone who wants to build a website about a hobby, like r/c cars for example :D

And if you don't like powow.com and it's hosting plans, here is another nice host, but harder to get registered: http://www.free-webspace.org/RbftpNetworks.php

I know, that's a typo :)

[edit]

Of you go to www.freehomepages.com, it says that you get 50 megs.

Unlimited Bandwidth for Free!
Hell f'n Yeah
When I get a decent camera & some more cool bit stuff I'll happily make a site

I would sign up with powow.com first, because you have to have a site already to sign up with it... I think.

xatu 04-23-2003 09:09 PM

What do you mean... Like, when you put text in there, it goes right in the center of the table? It is supposed to do that, but if it is DIRECTLY in the middle, just go like this:

<align="left"> And it should go to the left.

GO DREAMWEAVER MX! that its the best program ever..... but for beginners i suggest swish.... its way easier... alot mroe fun for when your just starting .... hey babykiller have you tried flash MX? i hear that it has more features than dreamweaver....

Websites ending in .tk are Tokyo i think...which is totally cool, but remember they are much slower to connect to at times (i am not knocking only informing).

Also i use my own webservers, FREE like 40GB of space and total control. You can use either Windows Servers or Linux/Unix Servers. I prefer the Linux route, much cheaper.

Also Apache for Linux is the killer Webserver...

AUDI-TT 04-23-2003 09:59 PM

how'd u get 40 gb free? u have ur own server? how is that free?
