The chassis and componets are built with quality aluminum. Full bearings, 180 motor and foam tires come with the kit. This purple kit is a prototype that was given to me from the nice people at the Aktiv Shop in Austria. The Aktiv shop speed control is being used in this car.

This is the chassis under the Audi body. The speed control was removed to help out a friend on the forums:eek: Steering servo is a Hitec HS55 which works great in these cars. I have cut the bumper down so it will fit under the body.

Yeah it is! WWS has one also with the newer style rear wing. I cant wait to paint one up. I wish they had the RedBull decal kit available as blue would look good.

catman25 03-07-2003 07:27 AM

whats the stats on that speed controll?big question is ...how mucho es esc.me pido es muy grande!

binaryterror 03-07-2003 09:44 AM

My ESC used to be in that car? Sweet...

Now the real question, compare this to the WWS 1/24th.

irc 03-07-2003 12:23 PM

The Aktiv speed control should be back in stock the first of next week. This esc has gained popularity fast! We should have an add to cart button on the site next week for them. How the Aktiv and WWS compare?? The WWS is the top car to beat in Europe and the Aktiv is right on it's heals. The two cars are so diffrent in materials and design that you must own both:D The pricing is way diffent between the 2 also.

Racer9 03-07-2003 06:29 PM

Sweet!

bigbamboo 03-07-2003 08:07 PM

wheelbase?

Have been to your site before. Thanks for the pics. Was wondering the wheelbase for the Audi? Looking for 110mm - 115mm for DRR. Does aktiv make the body or another company?
It's a really nice looking set up. Especially the wing.
Also wondering about the Opel you sell as a kit with the WWS. Wheelbase and could I get just the body?

strakka 03-07-2003 10:21 PM

irc how much did your akitvs??? how do they compare to other 1/24 r/c cars?? like the miniz and DRR (they re around the same size rite??

irc 03-07-2003 11:49 PM

The Audi should fit the DRR on it shortest wheelbase. Aktiv tells me they make the bodies and they are of the highest quality I have seen. The WWS Opel should also fit on the longer wheelbase and we have just the body if you don't want the whole kit. The Aktiv car kit is $159.80 and worth every cent.

strakka 03-07-2003 11:52 PM

how much did you pay for it??

irc 03-07-2003 11:56 PM

If you go to our shop www.intrepidrc.com you will find prices on all the Aktiv cars and options. We stock every part and option for the Aktiv 1:24 AND wws pRO 1:24 CAR.

strakka 03-07-2003 11:58 PM

oh so you just got one cuz your store has them. thanks for the link

edit: on you site for the OPEL it says its a kit but doesnt come with the electronics and a lot of other stuff that should be in a kit (well i think they should be) can you explain this to me?? thanks in advance

irc 03-08-2003 12:13 AM

It is just a car kit and comes with out any electronics. What you have after you assemble the kit is a rolling chassis with a motor. You then need to add a battery, steering servo, esc, receiver and transmitter. Oh and you will need a battery charger if you do not already have one. The WWS comes with the body but the Aktiv does not.

strakka 03-08-2003 12:20 AM

k thanks. i asked on the DRR forum but i think that you'll be able to answer it better.

Do the bodies fit the DTMs?

strakka 03-08-2003 11:36 PM

im going with yes because it is 1/24 rite maybe it'll need a bit of extention but not alot of moding is needed

irc 03-09-2003 10:33 AM

Yes..As long as the car is 1:24 scale and adjustable you should have no problem.IM running 2 diffrent Aktiv bodies on DRR'S.

was ist los? 03-09-2003 11:57 PM
