I tell ya the guys that do the advertising have no idea. |
well i can't say much for the body other than ugly but a pen car is a cool idea
i think it's IR but it seems a lot smaller than bits it also seems more cheeply made, i think the steering is like tank steering
Sweetness on wheels!!:p
It looks like its close to the size of those 80's micromachines:D :D |
if they bring 'em to the store ill buy it for sure, cuz i aint allowed to buy off the net
damn it |
dont get all happy yet none of the stores have em i.e. they aint out yet lol
Radio Shack is nothing but a Bit Tease. :D
Does Radio Shack Canada (online) deliver to the states? |
its coming soon, according to them soon is probably 6 months lol, they said theyd have the airhogs helicopters "soon" 5 months ago but they still dont have it
OMG! That looks 133t!
I've gotta get at least one!
With that low price, I wouldn't be suprised if it's a very basic control system. That means the possibility of losing the goofy pen and controlling it with my Palm Pilot! Useful when I'm traveling. If the car turns out to be half-decent that is. If I get one, you can bet I'll be dissecting it for everyone. How about the body style on that car? Star Trek called, they want their shuttlecraft back. |
It looks like a TTTT 1/87 scale rc car.
well there are rat shacks near me i could get people some if they want but i need the money first cuz i dont wanna buy it then have everyone back out
There are tons of Radio Shacks near me so I could get them also.
You guys let us know what's happening on them.
Hopefully they'll sell them in the US as well, as IR isn't regulated per se. |
I'll import one as a trade for the new X-Men Zip Zap.
I'm not feeling it. I don't like anything about it. Cool idea; Bad example
Check the website, they're now being shipped to the stores because none of the stores in Toronto have them.

No, it's a European car called the MCC Smart. It's owned by Mercedes.

Yeah, they're nice! I saw them when I went to France last year.

Look, if it was THAT smart, it would at least have room for your golf clubs in back! ;)
hehehe lol
If you've ever been to Paris you'll know why Smarts are very popular.
i went to paris 2 years ago and damn thers a lot of traffic, maybe thats why minis are popular?
do the radioshacks around u have the IR cars yet or not? mine dont |
Me neither. But Smarts are a tiny bit shorter than Minis, thus making it easier to park than any Mini.
Whoa! Does anybody know the length of that car? i gotta get me one. It looks like 1" long! If it really is that small, i would defantly get one to use in school. Although, i would mod the controller quite a bit, so as to make it less conspicios.
Holy Crap! that looks like a sick idea *mind imagining a moded pen and a better paint job on the car*
Keep us posted for sure you Canadianians.......... lol hopefully they will be out byt he time I get back home |
I understand you can get slot car springs to mod the pen!!
The problem is that after the mod, the pen tends to write in wider arcs... |
roflol!! hilarius man.:D
the site says they are in stock. to bad only cannadians get em:(

okidoki,
today i went to wal mart to check out the new clones they had, and i saw these new ir bits ther. They were 19.99 just like in r shack. And holy crap these things r FREAKIN SMALL i mean u could fit 3 of these into a bit (jus an axample dont try this)i dont think they had digi q steering there rear wheels were a small version of bit wheels and the front had 1 axle sorta like hot wheels axles i think they sorta have a magnet steering but no knuckles or anything. this is how i think they work: |
Did you get a product name or anything... if a car like that exists, there is bound to be a website on it somewhere.....
damn i forgot but the walmart is right beside my school so i might go tomorow at lunch and chek it out again, but u dont iunderstand these things are sooo small like 1.5 cm long
can we get some pics in comparison to a bit? I cant belive these things could be so small!
Also, who makes em? rat-shak doesn't say much on there site about em, so they probably dont make em. the brand should have a site. Respond Audi-tt! I'm die'n here!
I found them in Radio Shack today. They're called "Micro HotRodz". Here's my review:
The packaging: It has goofy see-through packaging. It includes 8 Alkaline cells, four of which are already installed. The Pen/Controller: It is a working pen. It has a magnet to hold the car on to it. It is IR! The Chassis/Car: It is 1/87 scale! The motor is a clone motor! There is no idle gear! But, it can only go forward and clockwise. Total: It is a good introductory to micro rc's BUT is not as good as any Bit/clone. It deserves an 8/10. P.S. I just checked and it says on the bottom of the car: (C) 2003 Sakar Canada....... made in China. So it may come to the U.S. |
ya the walmart ones are fast but only turn in reverse it can do a wheelie from reverse and ummm oh ya the pen wrote right out of the package without having to scribble in circles.:D for a more indepth look at the thingy with pictures CLICK
