There's 6 Frequencies

Here's the lowdown on what's available for the Bits.

There are 6 Frequencies available. That's right, 6!

27MHz, 35MHz, 40MHz, 45MHz, 49MHz and 57MHz.

- The Japanese version, the Tomy Bit Char-G is available in: 27, 35, 45 and 57
- The US version, the Hobbico MicroSizer is available in: 27 and 49
- The Australian version, the Tomy Compact Char-G is available in: 27 and 40

The 49MHz models (MicroSizer) are:
- G-02 Honda S2000 (Yellow)
- G-04 Skyline (White)
- G-06 Mazda RX-7 (Yellow)
- G-13 Toyota Bb (Yellow)
- G-17 Subaru Impreza (White)
- G-19 Mitsubishi Lancer (Yellow)

The 40MHz models (Compact Char-G) are:
- G-02 Honda S2000 (Yellow)
- G-03 Nissan Skyline GT-R (Blue)

Enjoy.

WOW! I like this kind of packaging. :D

tinyrc 09-04-2002 10:32 PM

Note that 27 and 49MHz are the only frequencies legal in the US, and that the FCC is starting to crack down on them (not coming and getting you at your house, but confiscating from dealers and from overseas shipments).

NewbieBrigade 09-04-2002 10:49 PM

not sure if it was isolated case or something, but when i was running a 49mhz bullet and my friend was running a 45 mhz supra, when his car got pretty close to me. like <2feet i was able to control his car.

Pretty common thing actually, when you're that close in frequency. There's even some people with a range difference of 35MHz and 27MHz that have interference problems.

I'd say this is one of the reasons Tomy uses the cripple capacitor.

valzuniga 09-05-2002 12:41 AM

Does the interference have to do with the quality of the car? Because I have a clone (oem) and a real Bit, and they interfere. Even though the frequencies are different.

so tinyrc you're saying that if i order a Bit Char-G from Japan or Hong Kong that has a frequency of 57,35,40MHZ they would throw it away? And why are they illegal?

tinyrc 09-11-2002 04:32 PM

It's unlikely that they would catch you, but if they did, then yes, they would destroy it. The reason for this is that only 27MHz and 49MHz are approved for RC land use, the others may interfere with radio communications, etc.

Ghost of Akina 09-11-2002 07:59 PM

oh ok thanks tiny

Arrive2Defy 09-12-2002 03:38 PM

ghost of akina... love the name... just got into initial D and wow...

Ghost of Akina 09-12-2002 05:06 PM

thanks lol

Redfire 09-12-2002 05:11 PM

yo ghost, i too am an initial D fan, if u want i can make an avatar for you (its another hobby of mine :p ) of any initial d car u want.

Ghost of Akina 09-12-2002 05:17 PM

sure go ahead

hmmm which car to choose so many out there lets see what about the celica that he races in 3rd stage the movie

Redfire 09-12-2002 05:44 PM

i think this looks good........... maybe im wrong?

Redfire 09-12-2002 05:49 PM

Anyone wants an avatar of something, drop me an email.
(i make icons for my comp, so it has become a hobby for me)
Back to the topic:
So the frequencies interfere with each other if they are some what similar?

Ghost of Akina 09-12-2002 05:50 PM

hmmm that isnt to clear what about the two rx-7s

ok back to topic: does it really do that with close frequencies i never raced another bit hahah

Redfire 09-12-2002 06:01 PM

Here you go.

Topic: I guess it would interefere with each other, seeing how my Project D Trueno (35mhz) was being interefered with my friends RX7 (27 mhz). So, Im fairly confident that it WOULD interefere with each other if the difference between frequencies is only a mere 5 mhz.

bad copy: heres the revised

Ghost of Akina 09-12-2002 06:09 PM

thanks redfire

Redfire 09-12-2002 06:16 PM

no problem, although i am a little jealous of your name.

Arrive2Defy 09-12-2002 11:29 PM

REDFIRE! CAN YOU MAKE ME THE BLACK SKYLINE GT-R icon?!? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease! i based my original white skyline on it.. i even repainted my whole thing to look like it! all i need now is a "night kids" detail... :D anwhoo help out if u can. thanks!

where can i make a NIGHT KIDS detail....?

Ghost of Akina 09-13-2002 08:08 PM

go to initial d heaven or world? its a site and they have all the team logos just get decal paper and print em out

Arrive2Defy 09-13-2002 10:19 PM

heres da skyline, is it good enough?

(by the way, arent we supposed to be talking ABOUT the topic?)

Arrive2Defy 09-14-2002 07:56 PM

sorry if this skyline isnt right.......... ill keep trying since i dont have an EXTREMELY huge pic folder.....yet.

I also have a pic of a blue one.........if anyone is interested

Arrive2Defy 09-15-2002 02:26 PM

thanks man.. looks great

Redfire 09-15-2002 03:46 PM

anyone else?

Shacky 09-18-2002 06:06 PM

Isn't the Project D set 27mhz? I know mine is 27 mhz.

Ghost of Akina 09-18-2002 06:13 PM

Yeah RedFire how did you get a 35MHz Project D trueno? Did you Get a new chassis for it?

Arrive2Defy 09-18-2002 06:24 PM

if you have a booster set will the 120 NIMH battery still run time still run 20 min on the booster? mines i think went back down...

Ghost of Akina 09-18-2002 07:38 PM

hey arrive2defy does a booster set really go all that fast? I heard that it doesnt go as fast as a regular bit until you push the button. Is this true?

Arrive2Defy 09-18-2002 09:13 PM

ok nm.. my run time is fine...

uh.. regular is slow.. BUT... you can hussle people.. hahaha... just be like "oh sh!t hit the NOS son!" when you hit turbo its fast... but there is also a mod where its always on.. doesnt really matter.. i guess..

personally i like the booster better because... its faster... also you can make your friends look stupid after they talk trash about how slow your car is (non turbo mod)

I really don't know if its either 27 or 35, because the box says its 27, but its in the spot where the 35 mhz sign should be. Plus, there are two 27mhz's on my box.........

Shacky 09-20-2002 04:51 PM

On the clear plastic covering the PCB board, does it say 27mhz? I'm pretty sure it's 27 mhz if it's the Initial D set.

mr0072003 09-21-2002 12:47 PM

Ive never seen other than a 27mhz car for the Intial D set...

Redfire 09-25-2002 02:28 PM

its 27 :p

BackInBlack 10-05-2002 09:36 PM

Can we just change the transmitter xtal and adjust the pot in the car, and create 'custom' frequencies, or is the receiver xtal embedded into the car pcb?

tuner00 10-06-2002 04:03 PM

27 and 49?

I don't think it's true that US limits it to 27 and 49mhz only for RC since all the other RC sizes (1/10 and others) have a whole range of frequencies.

I have 75, 72, 48, and others I don't remember.

It is interesting that it's limited on these RTR radio controlled vehicles though.
