sweet.... looking at that makes me want to get one.....:) :D

Cruizer 05-18-2002 06:46 PM

Thanks man!

Like me, you enjoy your Mini-Z alot... This one is MUCH BETTER!
A very cool car, acts so muck like a 1/10 scale it's hard to believe it's as small as it is. I recommend you look into it when you can, you won't be sorry.

Cruizer,

This is NML. I've been trying to tell people this for almost 2 years now. I've had a car for that long, with at least 30 15 - 20 foot barrell rolls, and it's still alive. Your car looks AWESOME. Imagine if we raced at the same track? There would be a 1/24th scale Super Speedway. Besides, these are pan cars anyway. Good job!!

As usual my friend... you are correct again! A major awesome car for anyone who likes the hobby. You should look into the Dynamite Rocket Racer ready set, It's very similar to the DTM's with a few changes on the Rocket Racer to make it affordable. Very cool for the money though.
Thanks for the compliment, got the idea from you.

Take care my friend, we'll look forward to your input here so we can make our DTM's faster and better than we ever thought.

Awesome job Cruizer, it looks great!

Cruizer,

May I know what esc you are using for your sp?

Cruizer 05-21-2002 08:36 PM

Sanwa ES-01

MicroRCEngineering 05-22-2002 11:58 AM

ES-01's are good ESC's for the ABC's because it doesn't take up too much space. Very responsive.

If the wires are too stiff for you Cruizer, you can use the silicone wires by HPI (for Micro RS4) the only thing is you'll have to open the esc and do some soldering.

Thanks for the info.! I'll keep that in mind, been thinking about upgrading some of the electronics like to a Team Orion speed control and maybe an Airtronics ESC.

Any suggestions?

MicroRCEngineering 05-29-2002 05:11 PM

Cruizer,

If you are in the market for a new ESC, I honestly recommend the LRP Quantum ESC. The price is a little steep, but this is what you get: Micro ESC w/ 1/10th scale performance, 4 - 7 or 8 cell capacity, Lifetime warranty, can and will handle any motor with no worries. The second one I recommend it the Keyence A07R ESC. These ESCs are very compact, yet offer big performance.

Hope this helps. If you ever want to make your ABC a Micro RS4 killer/contender, then you definitely should buy one of these ESC's, because of its ability to handle "hotter" motors.

Is the body a model kit or one specifically for the ABC? The detail looks amazingly like the bodies of the Mini-Z's.

Cruizer 05-30-2002 08:00 PM

It's a customized new revell model body with water slide decals available from your LHS.

I agree with you, I don't own a mini R/C yet but my Keyence esc has withstood major abuse, like gearing 3.25 on my F1. I have the A07RZ and you couldn't get me to switch to any other esc on the market for main streem use. Very good esc, but the price is a little steep. But I still think it's worth it. :D

well i got and ipd racing race-20 speed control and can even handel 480 motors and is soo very easy to use. just plug and use. its got great brakes and pretty good throttle response, but has no reverse. all this is $45.

feathercraft1 12-28-2002 05:02 PM

was ist los, where did you get your esc from? Those things are nearly impossible to find. Thanks for the input!

i got it back in august from www.micrors4racer.com , but that sends you to ratzas.net for some reason. seems like that website is gone. ipd is located in canada btw. ill see if i can find their address for you.
