and the veilside...
|
Wow.....custom chassis and die-cast bodies never cease to amaze me
Sweet ride, man. :p |
I didn't have to extend any chassis' cos' I used the bensu clone from Sharper Image. Those chassis' line up with almost every import tuner. That's what the car is. The car is very heavy. It's the main reason I had to throw in 3 batteries. I plan on molding it as well as a EVO into resin to take away all that weight. It doesn't look like it in the picture, but the wheel wells are absolutely perfect. The wheel is in turning motion in the pic.
I'll walk everyone thru my mold process in this thread. I'll have the first pic up today. |
Sweet.....man you gotta get me one of those clones! How big IS that darn chassis??
|
nice pie; I painted the rims myself, but my dad painted the body hot wheels petty racing blue for me.
where do you get those colored tires, and do they get good traction? |
Nice car.
Too bad about the antenna. |

who were you talking to? |
Hey Stridex, If you painted it Gold or Silver it would look better. The white looks too plain. unless u got metallic white
|
It came metallic white. The picture really doesn't do it justice.
|
hmm ur better off using normal tires... the orange ones are sticky, but they're not quite as sticky as the originals... heh, that paint is great :D
|
they're just for looks then? what colors do they have lol
yeah its metallic (don no if you can see or not) |

This is the process I use to build the bottom section of a silicon mold. In about 5 hours, It'll be ready for the top half. |
Pojo,
you can get the Sharper Image clones online at their website. They come in a pair...an H2 and an SSR. The chassis' are just a tad larger then a zip. They line up with more 1/64 die-cast cars then anything else out there. |
