Overland Crusher!

1 Attachment(s)
I just received my second 1/32 Mitsuwa off road truck from my good friend in Japan. This one has a longer wheel base and big off road tires that look like my HPI Savage! The taller tires give it good top end and with the 6v battery this truck is fast:D It has good ground clearance and can handle some off roading.

Another pic. I wish our shop could get these here in the USA as they are not exspensive and are very cool. We will be working on stocking them but so far it seams to be impossible.

binaryterror 02-19-2003 06:05 AM

Wow that is totally better than the Overlander.

As for getting them here, what about having your friend in Japan just buy a bunch and ship them out to you? (i bet you already thought of this though)

kwikbb 02-19-2003 07:13 AM

Damn that's really cool! No chance of it see'in stateside though huh, that's too bad :(.

Oh well thanks for the tease irc... lol :D

irc 02-19-2003 11:24 AM

I think the challange is Mitsuwa is a small company that is not wanting to produce for the USA market. IM still working on it but if I have my friend ship me a bunch they would be to expensive for resale.

freakanoid 02-19-2003 01:50 PM

omg omg omg omg omg

no way gotta have one gotta have one gotta have one gotta have one.
ple get them in or i will have to go to japan and buy one o my god
that is sweet.
pls get them in
of jus gimme that one and ill pay$$$$$$$$ but i live in england .

MaddMatt 02-25-2003 04:11 PM

resale

Do you have a website for this company?

If enough people contact them, maybe they'll reconsider importing them. Even if not, I would be curious to find more about these trucks

Give us more information!!! Speed, size, videos, anything

Madd Matt

MaddMatt 02-25-2003 04:50 PM

One more thing

Oh yeah, one more thing!

Do they have removable crystals? If not, how many can you run at once?

I am assuming they are r/c, not IR?

Do they come with a transmitter? Pic?

Thanks... keep the info coming

irc 02-26-2003 12:31 AM

I have not found a web site. The crystal is removable and it's 27mHZ. Both car's I have came w/o transmitter but they have a crystal in the rx. The Rx looks like the tamiya/Futaba unit that the tamtecs came with. The truck is fast! and it is capable of running in dirt and gravel unlike the Overland.

MaddMatt 02-26-2003 08:47 AM

Where did he get it?

IRC:

Do you know where your buddy got it? I have a friend outside Tokyo and would love to pick a couple up for racing.

If it is 27Mhz but removable does that mean I could 6-9 at a time? Could I slip in a 75 Mhz crystal and use with a regular gun?

Could you slip in one more pic with something of normal scale? (pen, dollar bill, etc?)

Thanks, keep trying to get your hands on more. It sounds like you won't have any problems selling them

binaryterror 02-26-2003 01:14 PM

If it is 27Mhz you can exchange crystals only with 27Mhz frequencies. 75Mhz is a different frequency. 27 is about as common as 75Mhz for land use.

freakanoid 02-26-2003 01:33 PM

go down a bit i looked around and saw one
i want one:mad:

MaddMatt 02-26-2003 03:28 PM

Awes0me

IRC:

Is this the same truck?

2000 yen is less than $20 US unless that is a misprint.

Let me know and I will get one.

I am assuming that it didn't include any electronics (recever, esc, servo, etc). Can it fit standard equipment or do you need to use micro everything?

Where did you get the stickers from?

Sorry for all the questions but this looks just too good to pass up. It is exactly what I was looking for.

MaddMatt 02-26-2003 09:33 PM

One more question

IRC:

Just had another queston pop into my mind:

Can you post some pics without the body on?

irc 02-26-2003 09:36 PM

IM not sure if it is the same truck The kit I have came will the tires on and fully assembeled with electronics but no transmitter. I think it is available in many kit forms:(

MaddMatt 02-26-2003 09:50 PM

thanks

That is awesome. Even at 1/32nd, it looks pretty much the same size as the RS4.

Thanks for all the answers. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these

That can not be the same as IRC's...it says:
Mitsuwa Remote-control BIG MACHINE Citizen Pajero
Made in JAPAN by Mitsuwa. 8cm long body(same as MIDRACER) and rubber baloon tyre, 2 motor included.

It's assemble remote control model

8CM body? that makes it smaller than the 1/43rd scale Epcoh body. It sure sounds cool though. By the way MaddMatt they Mercedes isn't an RS4 it is a Mini-Z.

That one you got IRC is mighty impressive, similar to the old Tamiya 1/10th monster truck series.

[SIDENOTE] Dang you even got dirt bike toys? i envy you sir! [/SIDENOTE]

irc 02-27-2003 11:21 AM

The truck is not much longer than the Mini Z but it is much wider. In fact the truck body is much smaller. I took the pic on the front fender of my YZ250F because everything else in my garage is black so the car would not show well. Dirt bikes are cool but I cant find the time to ride it! IM currently building a full size sprint car to race so that is priority one. I will post some pic's of it when it's done.

MaddMatt 02-27-2003 12:29 PM

the web link

All:

I had my friend in Japan check out the one from the link and it was more kidde toy than awesome truck and wayyy too small.

IRC:

this sounds weird but do you still have the box/paperwork? That would make it alot easier to find. My buddy (who knows littel about this) walked right into a hobby store and they were pushing the 40,000 yen ($330) 1/14 scale trucks. Anymore info would be appreciated.

Madd Matt

irc 02-27-2003 01:50 PM

I have the box but all it says is Mitsuwa RC Sonic. The RC Sonic could help.

TheEmaxxKid 04-06-2003 06:45 PM

I have a few questions.

http://homepage1.nifty.com/toyherb/m...delpajero.html about sixth from bottom. Is that the truck? At www.1999.co.jp they had a hilux and two colors of pajeros. The site is down though.

what electronics come with the car? I think its just the motors.

Will one tenth scale rc electronics fit(speed controlls, servos, receivers)?

is it 2wd or 4wd?

About how fast is it?
does the battery come with the truck?

does it have oil filled shocks or just dampners? I would greatly appreciate a fast reply.

TheEmaxxKid 04-06-2003 06:59 PM

http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/rc/index_e...no=&Typ1_c=103
Its back up. The trucks are near the bottom.

edit: oops! search for mitsuwa under all items and the trucks should be on the bottom of the second page

That's a Mini-Z it's sitting next to..not a Micro...:)

SteveGodfrey 04-10-2003 09:15 AM

What TX's will work with it, the Kyosho Perfex maybe? What do you use IRC? Seems to cheap to be true!

irc 04-10-2003 11:17 AM

Hi Steve,

The Perfex will work just fine. Both of my cars came with cystals in the receiver so you will just have to change it or match it in you transmitter. Also for EMAXXKID the trucks have very good speed (faster than a Mini Z) The shocks are not oil filled and are plastic. Both my cars came with electronics installed that are simalar to the Tamtec units but I beleive Mitsuwa has some with out electronics installed. The battery I think is a option but IM not positive and 1/10 electronics will not fit. The car is 2wd and the only weak area I have found is the steering knucles will break if you hit something with one of the big front tires. They only take a second to replace but you need to have spares.

Jeff

TheEmaxxKid 04-10-2003 06:17 PM

Thank you very much irc. i will be ordering one soon. What batteries are used in the truck if the battery pack is optional? Thanks again.

irc 04-11-2003 12:02 AM

It is a 5 cell 6 volt pack.

SteveGodfrey 04-11-2003 03:31 AM

I've had a quote from www.1999 including shipping to the UK the cost is £23. I can't believe we're talking about the same truck. IRC how much did you pay for yours?

irc 04-11-2003 11:01 AM

I have no Idea? I have a good friend in Japan who just sends me cars.

binaryterror 04-11-2003 11:41 AM

IRC: Imagine if your friend in japan was a hot chick too...then IRC would have the best life.

[DREAM SEQUENCE]
Naked hot girl sending me free RC cars...

MaddMatt 04-11-2003 11:49 AM

something to think about

All:

I have scrutinized the pics so far and it got me to thinking.

Couldn't I just take Nikko rc truck, gut it all out, put in real electronics and get the same thing or better?

I saw a Nikko truck for $20 at Toys r Us that could do the job. Any one know what problems I can expect if I try this?

Madd Matt

binaryterror 04-11-2003 12:12 PM

Yeah one simple phrase...Nikko sucks.

They are really whacked out when it comes to engineering and all that. Heck, try it though.

irc 04-11-2003 12:54 PM

B, I think my wife would pack my bags for sure if that was the case:eek: She already hates rc cars and if I had a hot chick sending them to me it you know what would hit the fan.

SteveGodfrey 04-11-2003 01:38 PM

Glad to hear I'm not the only one whose wife doesn't share my enthusiasm for RC's!

binaryterror 04-11-2003 01:57 PM

Man i tell you...

My soon to be wife would love to have free ones sent to me, from anyone, hot chick or not. That way more money could go into fixing the house and getting her a new car.

TheEmaxxKid 04-11-2003 09:50 PM

Sorry, my question was not clear. I meant to ask if the truck could run off of, say , AA batteries instead of the battery pack in case you dont have the battery pack.

http://homepage1.nifty.com/toyherb/...odelpajero.html
The pajero near the bottom is 13 dollars and it says it comes with motors and is a kit. the one at www.1999.co.jp is 20 dollars and assembled. I will email then tonight so I can figure out what electronics come with this version. Thank you.

p.s:Dont you think were getting a little off topic with the whole mysterious person sending irc cool stuff thing? Its my dream too.

irc, Tell your friend that Ill be his( or hopefully her) friend, too.Lol

irc 04-12-2003 12:42 AM

You need the battery pack made for the truck. AAA will not fit. IM woundering if we are talking about the truck?

MaddMatt 04-12-2003 07:37 AM

be careful

I had my friend outside tokyo do a little research and it seems that this company also creates a lot of motorized trucks that are NOT r/c.

The few links I sent to him from this thread all turned up to be that way. He has not been searching hard ( a couple of phone calls to local hobby stores) but so far he hasn't been able to find the r/c ones.

Just a heads-up
