RIGD1, i like your rx7..with the FS mod and nice color too. Did you paint it yourself? or did it come in that color? It looks different from the other rx7s...looks like it has a front kit or something, I LIKE IT! What kind of rx7 is it? BCG? or MS?

Yes I did paint it myself. The body was a clear body BCG RX7. All of the pre-painted RX7s usually have the front lip painted black, so you don't really see the kit on it. When you paint the whole thing, it tends to look more aggressive. The paint I used is made by Tamiya. The color is Pearl Gunmetal.

My RX7 isn't quite done yet either. I'm still going to add LEDs. The headlight,foglight and taillight are all clear right now.:D

did you have to shave anything for the FS mod to fit?

SWEET....hmm...im gonna get a clear RX7 then...and get the same paint!:D hahah it looks SWEEET, and gonna do a FS wheel mod! You can buy clear rx7 bodies seperately? hmmm...gotta go down to LHS and take a look.

Thx RIGD1, i didnt think of getting a rx7 before because it didnt look that good, but know i see its potential! :D

No shaving to the body, but I may need to shave alittle bit off the chassis on one side. When I turn the wheel right, it sort of rubs on the chassis. I may sand it down some.:cool:

hmm...thats good to hear. do you have any more pics of your rx7?

The clear RX7 body came in a 2 pack. the other RX7 body was blue. I think the RX7 2 packs for the MS are the same. When you look for the paint, it'll be in a small spray can with a big TAMIYA logo on it. :D

yeah i have a few of those Tamiya spray cans..white, german gray, black, and red,...they dont cost that much either, which is good.

hmm...yeah i'll make sure to pick up a clear body then...sooo nice!

Yes its an R34 wing. I took it from a yellow R34 body I have. I will replace the wing on the yellow R34 with one I modified from the clear body that came with it, which will resemble a ducktail type spoiler.

Two more RX-7's which I am working on. Getting a little better with the airbrush but not where I would like to be yet. The red one started as a clear body, and the black was a standard MS paint job, both with added airbrushing.
