whats the best clone?

just wonderin- what do u think is the best clone? I have a precious and i dont think its that great.

hogjowlz 02-14-2003 03:10 PM

well ive bought 4 or 5 brands of them and my vote is cyclona.

metsrule119 02-14-2003 03:12 PM

never heard of it

bwsk8 02-14-2003 03:27 PM

How are Thunder Bolt Racing! cars they sell for $12 on ebay with shipping ($4 before shipping lol).

Ebay : Thunder Bolt Racing Cars

hogjowlz 02-14-2003 03:36 PM

thunderbolts aint that good. their steering is fairly poor and they have hard wired motors. those motors have a ton o' torque but no speed. i get cyclonas for 10bucks and stock are a lot faster than thunderbolts have better bodies and steer pretty well(no where as good as the microsizer)

Stridex 02-14-2003 03:38 PM

No question....The MotorWorks from WalMart. Lxx can claim second best.

hogjowlz 02-14-2003 03:41 PM

im gona have to get one of those soon

Spanky 02-14-2003 04:52 PM

all of my prescious are awesome. and they are also completely compatable with the microsizers/bits... motors/bodys/tires... the bodys are clear, and the motor is like a 2.2 depending on the precious, some have different sizes i think. all in all its not that bad for a clone! specailly when its only 10 bucks.

takumi_drifto 02-14-2003 04:55 PM

SHENS RULE ,.....closely followed by the PRECIOUS .

Spanky 02-14-2003 06:04 PM

i will agree that the shens are good cars, meanig they are fast and run fairly straight. i have 2 of them. one was broken outa the egg.. the axle was too long so the gears wouldnt touch. kinda poor quality control. but i will admit that they are fairly quick. what i dislike about them is the material that the bodys is made out of. it seems a lot thicker and heavier than all of the other cars that i have seen, and its not clear. also the motors are not compatable with the bits unless you do some modifications. all in all they are great cars, they just are not as compatable as the precious are with the bits. if i was going to rate them i would say
1. precious (because of compatibity)
2. shen
3. lxx (possibly higher but that motor is definately not a 3.0)

but thats just my opinion.

denden 02-14-2003 06:16 PM

I agree , the bodies are heavier and windows are not clear ,
but I usually replace the body with a custom body .

FullTilt 02-14-2003 06:17 PM

denden-

Is that a picture of a shen? I have the same exact looking car but its called a "rally racer" from KB toys... I wonder if they're the same. The body is a white plastic material(not clear) but has the same design. Is your car the same?

denden 02-14-2003 06:25 PM

Yes , it is an original Shen , .. I have seen the Rally Copy Cat .
I believe it's the same car . Probably pumped out of the same factory .

My Avatar Vw is sporting a SHEN Chassis .

bwsk8 02-14-2003 06:29 PM

Is there a website for shen cars?

FullTilt 02-14-2003 06:33 PM

Cool thanks!

I've been trying to figure out what clone I have here for a while now with all the different names that are out there!

:D

Now if I can only find out where they sell "Super Racing No. 777" clone cars. If any of you guys have one, let me know what you think it resembles please!

xatu 02-14-2003 07:17 PM

SHEN'S ARE THE BEST! I have 2 of em, and love em both....exept one doesn't have nothing, just the chassis, no motors, no nothing!

denden 02-14-2003 07:25 PM

Super Racing Cars are probably one of the worst clones
I ever bought . Very noisy and very bad quality .

Lord_Nick_D 02-18-2003 07:49 PM

Precious rules

the precious are the best i got one in a dome and it beats the hell out of a microsize 2.6

xatu 02-18-2003 07:56 PM

Where do you guys get these "prescious" clone cars?

Spanky 02-18-2003 08:13 PM

if you cant find them in drug stores or electronics stores by you, go online and look. there are many places that have them for about 10 plus 5-7 for shipping and some even cheaper. also try e-bay.

metsrule119 02-19-2003 07:26 AM

I got my precious from a stand in the malll.

PWalk 02-19-2003 08:03 AM

Shens are probaly the best I've seen out of the
"bullet".
But I have a soft spot for the Panther Chariots. I have never had a problem with any of the ones I own.

Motorworks is a close third.
I can get 2 Panthers for the price of 1 Shen or Motorworks.

I'm a Shen Lover , but last night I picked up a new Motorworks ,.
and I have to say , Very Impressive .

hcw3 02-19-2003 09:02 AM

motorworks!?!

I can't beleive you guys like those POS motorworks cars. Mine burnt out after like five runs, the pinion shaft literally removed itself from the motor. Besides they have hard wired motors, you need a screwdriver to get the body off.

Not to mention the two magnet one coil steering leaves a turning radius the size of a football feild. I like my bits and my panther.

xatu 02-19-2003 09:45 AM

But look at those rims......

Lord_Nick_D 02-19-2003 03:12 PM

I got my precious at a as seen on tv store stand in the mall for $20 canadian

nrmcj 02-19-2003 03:19 PM

Best clone? Shen: mine climbs 45 degree inclines.. it's sick.

Best One Ever? Bits: japanese box (hehe!), Very high quality... and i like the real stuff :D

vtheo 04-06-2003 11:49 PM

i have one of those super racer (777) and fast with no control, but put the motor in my bit (i just burnt out my tomy 2.6 that came with it) plus the noisey gears, it flies! it most at least be a 3.0 mabey more, i think i will take the batt and steering spring out of it, and make a stand alone charger. i think they are great for the price at least for parts (i got mine for $5 us at a street fair) Oh the bodys are ghetto looking but i picked mine for hiding mods :) well i would like to know more about this clone anyone have expience with them

My vote is for Shens as well. They have great stock motors (for speed and torque), strong PCB, and good handling!

Spanky 04-07-2003 02:14 AM

all of my shens turned into parts cars after 1 week.. they ran good for that week, with minor steering problems. but i probably wouldnt buy another. i would definately go with the prescious....3 months and still going strong, and straight.

in my opinion you can find all of this information in previous posts. you should really do a search. this question has been asked and opinions have been given hundreds of times..

xatu 04-07-2003 12:27 PM

Shens do fall apart easily, but they are great for mods! They are basically a lower classed BCG.

smokin'1320 04-07-2003 01:41 PM

ive got three shens and i love them all

Which Walmart clone is that do you know the name and please describe it for me so I dont buy one

Lord_Nick_D 04-07-2003 03:09 PM

O
I went to walmart on the weekend and bought one of those monster trucks They are nice I love mine
They also had this one in a bullet called Turbo racers or somthing like that
what kind are they

There are also these metal bodied cars with built in duel cells stock

xatu 04-07-2003 04:54 PM

What is the name of the dual cell one? Are the bodys interchangeable?

Web Guy 04-07-2003 05:00 PM

The dual cell ones have a metal body like hot wheels and such. That's why they have to have the dual cell. Plus they are longer like the zip zaps..

xatu 04-07-2003 05:40 PM

Do the metal bodies slow the car down at all???

And, could you please post some pictures of the dual cell all rigged up?
