What are the 6 frequencies? I really want to get that supra and booster set.

tinyrc 02-14-2003 01:30 AM

They didn't have much info, but from what I understand they will be sub-frequencies of the current 27/49MHz.

PWalk 02-14-2003 11:48 AM

Thanks for the good news,

bumping this so it doesn't get buried.

tinyrc 02-14-2003 12:30 PM

I would assume the sub frequencies would be similar to that of a 1/10th scale RC. Having a more tuned crystal type item. I mean 27MHZ has 9 US Legal frequencies (last time i was racing).

isk8blind 02-14-2003 04:07 PM

soooo

so the freq. are gonna be like 1/10th? like i have a 1/10th offroad buggy and the freq. is 75.630 do are theres gunna be like 49.37 and 27.81 and stuff?

Canadian Bit 02-14-2003 04:24 PM

Great! This mean's that there's got to be a Bit Char-G car like Micro Sizers Pro in the pipe.

bwsk8 02-14-2003 05:52 PM

any1 know why they dont make 75mhz frequencys?

midget_man1387 02-14-2003 06:37 PM

can't wait till june... can you explain more on the automodellista thing?

Canadian Bit 02-14-2003 06:59 PM

The Auto Modellista set is based on a PS2 game called "Auto Modellista". The game has cell shaded graphics and simulates real cars.

cisco 02-14-2003 07:25 PM

Thanks for the info. I've been wandering when some of those cars are going to be realesed.

That game hasn't been released yet, right?

Canadian Bit 02-14-2003 07:49 PM

I don't remember. I think it was already released in Japan. But I don't know if it's released here.

I maybe wrong here but i thought 27 and 49 are the only allowed AM RC frequencies. Commonly 75 and 72 are FM frequencies for the air i think....

bwsk8 02-14-2003 09:00 PM

75 is for air/land use 24 and 49 are for land only.

midget_man1387 02-14-2003 09:43 PM

the racing game that looks like a cartoon, right? It looks sweet, and it will be released soon here in the US

Canadian Bit 02-15-2003 08:54 AM

It probably will be/or is released here, because Capcom , the makers, have a website for it. I forget the u.r.l., though.

i don't think so...they use 75mhz for high end land radios...like the M8

bwsk8 03-03-2003 07:58 PM

In my nitro car I have a 75mhz frequency.
JR XR-2

got BITS? 03-03-2003 08:10 PM

Why would they release an AM set if there is no AM in U.S Not saying the bodies look bad but they should make a GTA3 set or a Grand Turismo or even a Nascar set (I'd collect the nascar bodies)

nrmcj 03-03-2003 08:19 PM

AM's supposed to come out this month..

SlowbutCourious 03-04-2003 04:32 PM

I have a 75mhz AM Airtronics Avenger stick and a 75mhz FM Futaba 3PDF pistol, one is a low end model and the other is a higher end model. Both are intended for ground use.

Over the years I have been in RC it seems the industry follow these guidlines for the US (although I don't know the exact reasons):

27 & 49 mhz (AM) for most toy RC's (the kind that are mass produced, and available in toy stores)
27 & 75 mhz (AM or FM or PCM) for ground use hobby quality RC equipment (usually 2-3 channels)
72 mhz (AM or FM or PCM) for air (usually 4 or more channels)

midget_man1387 03-06-2003 07:22 PM

not sure if someone's already asked, but how much will the AM sets cost?

MicRoMaN 03-06-2003 07:28 PM

$30

midget_man1387 03-06-2003 07:30 PM

wow, sweet, I need to get some bling bling
